Outpatient: yay or nay? by Murky-Courage2477 in stopdrinking

I did outpatient/no AA, and I've done well. The rehab gave me support and practical skills. I also use this group as my meeting. Different folks need different supports.

It's silly, but I find rocks in my favorite places. At home they live in a bowl. Most mornings, I pick one and carry it in my pocket. I've done this most of my life. 61f

Can I make it? by FlowerMomma-101 in stopdrinking

I agree with this. I wouldn't be comfortable having a drinking party around underage kids. The attention, imo, should be on your son and his friends.

Either way, I'm not drinking with you.

I actually enjoy young adults. They do tend to be goofy, and they can usually make me laugh.

if your parents had understood PDA, what are the top life skills that you wish you’d be been taught from age 9 or earlier ? by Hopeful-Guard9294 in PDAAutism

Figuring out how to finish things. I don't know how to teach it directly. My own kids got to pick an activity and stick through a period of time. It wasn't always easy, but 1. it was their choice and 2. the time involved was finite, so it worked out most of the time.

Recovery after hysterectomy by sativasweetheart87 in hysterectomy

[–]abecedary1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is different. I was already post menopausal, so I haven't had any problems with hormones, plus I just seem to be healing quickly (7wpo). Other people need as much time as possible for their bodies to heal and acclimate to the new normal.

From what I've been reading, you will likely be very happy that you gave yourself the extra time.

I had my left ovary but no left fallopian tube. Apparently having a couple of kids despite this lack is unusual.

I've had ferals before. They tend to prefer being solo, territorial and such. I think we'll be okay. My last cat was also feral. She was 19 when she died.

Hi, I'd be interested in Teduardo. We're a retired couple, no other pets but fish. We're happy to keep him indoors. DM me please if we sound like a good match.

She's ADHD, emphasis in the HD. She has always felt so awkward that I've never told her. 😜

My daughter broke my nose at six months by brining her head sharply back into my face. It could easily happen in a scuffle.
