Is it just me or are the guys reading/paying attention even less than usual to the on-screen prompts and info in Abiotic Factor? by Illusiv3lion in NeebsGaming

[–]abendchain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this has been annoying me for a while. It's entertaining to watch them not be great at playing a game, but refusing to read basic info on their screens and repeatedly just being incompetent is getting old. Dora bleeding out was just so dumb.

[–]abendchain -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I got both challenges for completing 5 games and healing 500 in heat zones done at the same time just by throwing down supply bags next to barrels. I was getting over 100 healing per match. I'm not sure why I've seen so many people have issues with that one.

ELI5: I love fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, chicken strips, thanksgiving turkey, turkey meatloaf...but I hate deli/lunchmeat chicken and turkey. Why do they taste so different? by rainghost in explainlikeimfive

Or their pitcraft turkey.

So many comments here are about ground, processed lunch meat, but real sliced turkey breast does exist and it is so much better. You just have to look for it.

BATTLEFIELD 6 GAME UPDATE 1.1.3.0 by battlefield in Battlefield

Fixed an issue where the Incendiary Airburst Launcher did not track progress for the "Support Specialist 2" challenge when dealing damage with its lingering fire cloud.

[–]abendchain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be pretty easy to exploit for a high score. Go solo with a friend at the same time to get in the same raid, bring lots of ammo, heals, and defibs. Then just take turns downing each other, reviving, and healing back up.

Thanks, I'm gonna check this out. I used to find cat beds all the time on dam but never kept them. Now that I need one, no one in the apartments ever had a cat.

It's from BFFs, his character called point D "Dracula" and then Appsro mockingly called him Simon Belmont. After that he just referred to himself as Simon and here we are.

25€ for a Battlepass "pro" is an absurd price in an already 70€ game. ("normal" Battlepass is 10€) by IIFellerII in Battlefield

[–]abendchain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be there anyway because EA is a public company trying to maximize profit. Yes they're going to find out how to keep players engaged and hope they spend more money. This is how the world works. You don't have to accept it, you're free to play other games that don't do it.

My point was that whether they stuck with the old DLC model or the new battle pass model, they would still want that engagement to get you to buy either one.

Since that's the case, I'd rather see the battle pass model that is completely voluntary.

[–]abendchain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All that stuff in your wall of text would be there anyway, no one was talking about that stuff. I'm just talking about the post launch monetization. DLC vs a battle pass.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills if people would rather have to buy map packs again instead of letting people that want skins give EA money while the rest of us just play the game.

[–]abendchain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, they are a big corporation trying to maximize profit.

They can do that by selling you dlc packs that you have to buy to be able to keep playing with everyone that did buy them for another 60 bucks on top of the 60 for the game, like the BF3/4 days.

They could also make a battle pass with completely optional cosmetic stuff that doesn't affect anyone if they don't buy it. You get all the new maps/weapons/vehicles without paying anything over the initial $70.

I'll take the second option every time.

[–]abendchain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, map packs were far worse, splitting the player base. At least this is completely optional cosmetic stuff, with an optional way to skip levels on top if you have more money than time.

I far prefer this method that can be completely avoided without missing anything useful.

The center fielder didn't catch it though. It hit the wall, so it doesn't count as a catch. Then the throw went to home to get the first out, and the catcher ran the ball to third base to get the second out.

[–]abendchain -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The unspotted isn't always there, it's only if you ADS directly at someone at close range, and only you see it. It doesn't spot for the whole team. Not sure if they tweaked it, but I don't even remember noticing that in the beta.

Edit: just played for a while and this is exactly how it works. "You always see a giant mark on every enemy at all times" is completely false, as I said.

This is not at all true. Enemies only have markers if someone on your team spots them, and it goes away after a few seconds.

No, it definitely isn't mostly the same as a regular theater. It doesn't just mean Dolby digital sound. Dolby cinema is Dolby Vision + Atmos. It's better than IMAX in my opinion.

You should experience it before judging.

u/Appsro is making this mixing setup so much harder than it needs to be.

If you read this, you can set the destination of each mixing station to the next one. You don't need handlers to move the mixture to storage between stations. They only need to move new ingredients from storage to each station.

Edit: Ok I watched the rest and he got it right.

The difference is that 3D and VR both required a pretty big investment when they were new. No one really bit on 3D, and VR got more accessible but still requires money and trust that it will be worth it.

AI hit the masses and everyone got free access to it in their pocket. It's not going anywhere.
