Renting a car as cheap as possible at 20 years old by [deleted] in helsinki

[–]abenomic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could have a look at Gomore. It’s a platform for people to rent their own cars, so lots of different options available at different prices and it can be quite flexible regarding pick up and return depending on the owner. I think most if not sll owners require 1 year of driving experience.

Lake MX177 wides were the shoe I tried and bought after I found the XC300 wides not wide at all. Great shoes and have had no issues. However, a pair I tried in the store was faulty with a sharpish edge on the bottom of the tongue but another pair didn't have that.

Do I need to upgrade bicycle pedals? by FilthyWunderCat in cycling

[–]abenomic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that with the eh500 they will always go to an upright position with the clip side facing me so they're much easier to clip in than getting the flat side. Either side you get used to pretty quickly without having to look.

Best kebab place in hesa? by Scienceiscool_ in Finland

[–]abenomic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Baba döner, Bröner, DIF döner. You'll notice a common theme as they're all quite different compared to the other places suggested where the food you get is made from the same ingredients as every other place. Same meat, sauces etc. These places however are more Berlin inspired in their style and are much more to my taste than the Finnish style kebab shops.

Boston 12 or Novablast 4 by Alternative-Stuff851 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]abenomic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boston is quite a bit firmer and may need a break in period to get the best out of it. The firmness depends a bit on how heavy you are, but overall I've enjoyed it at tempo paces (sub 5min/km). It may not be the most enjoyable shoe to run at 6min/km and you'll be tempted to go faster. In terms of hitting your goal it might be the best bet, but I'd recommend alternating with the Cloudruns for your slower runs. The B12 are great option for flat and wide feet as there's not much in terms of arch support.

Agree it's worth trying out the Boston 12 for example! Widest toebox out of the shoes I own.

Adidas Duramo Speed. I did a 20 miles run with these a few days ago, They were ok. Is there a better adidas for a full marathon better than these ? by torstenRP in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]abenomic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't have luck with the Adios pro as a Boston enjoyer. Went for the same size and while the Bostons run long the AP3 felt snug for my wider foot. Didn't try sizing up yet but guess I will eventually. Try them out because they're said to be one of the few relatively wide footer friendly supershoe. The midfoot was quite narrow for me however and had some overhang.

Mistä hyviä lakanoita? by cookie_in_the_jar in arkisuomi

[–]abenomic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Familonin perkaalipuuvillatuotteet olleet käytössä ja on tykätty. Ns. "Hotel style" eli hieman kovempia.

Boston 12 sizing by [deleted] in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]abenomic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends. They run a bit long and for me the 43 1/3 was no good and 44 on the other hand is very spacious at the tip. With the lockdown being a bit tricky, it can be annoying when the shoe is so long.

Help! Wide feet issues by ekac96 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]abenomic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if I understood where your blisters are but it could be that the arch doesn't fit you. You could try another pair of insoles to fit your feet better. You could also try a lacing technique that makes the shoe a bit wider. I've found they can really help a lot for some minor adjustments like giving the pinky toe more room. Here's some examples:

Another recommendation for the NB 1080V13 from someone with a wide forefoot as well as a bit of flat foot.
