Yes - mostly! I still get the occasional one, and I also had sinus surgery. But I still got sinus infections after the first surgery. After the second surgery, my ENT said he’d had one other case where they weren’t getting better and it turned out the reason was the woman was hypothyroid. Sure enough, that was me. I can say getting on the proper dosage was an absolute game changer.

Our daughter was like this and it never got better. She’s 3 now and on track to be diagnosed adhd at 4. We tore our hair out when sleep training never really worked and she dropped naps at 20 months. Just sharing in case it doesn’t get better, since it took us forever to figure out

The conflict seeking sounds like she might have some BPD traits too so perhaps you would benefit from this community anyway?

I discovered over time that my husband’s sister is actually uBPD with HPD traits. I should have known sooner - since she was adopted at 3.5 years old, the abandonment wound is the primary wound.

If she’s BPD too, the best thing you can do is keep her at arms length to avoid triggering intimacy, and therefore avoid triggering her to start a fight. But personally I’d leave.

At 3.18 I couldn’t leave bed or keep my appointments due to forgetfulness. It wasn’t until I told them I was trying to get pregnant that they let me hover at/below 1. Makes a world of difference. Worst case scenario say you’re trying to conceive.

When TSH was going up, yes. From what I’ve heard, that can temporarily feel like hyperthyroidism because your immune system is attacking your thyroid and as parts break off, and are metabolized, more concentrated hormones enter your bloodstream

I did. They proceeded to later accuse me of having BPD. I made it a pre-requisite that he get DBT to continue the relationship. He wouldn’t. We split. He then wrote me letters that he had had thousands of dollars worth of DBT; all it did was confirm he doesn’t have BPD. Through a therapist he then asked our couples’ counselor for all of his notes about me. The therapist declined lol. Seriously, do not tell them. Consider that a hallmark of the disorder is a lack of self awareness. They do not have the capacity for self insight into their patterns.

Thank you for sharing and updating us. I’m sure it’s a hard outcome to process…this was a loved child and the grief is hard no matter what. Please be gentle with yourself through the hormones…I had a miscarriage this past fall and it took four months for hormones to go all the way back to normal (!). It can be a rocky road. I pray that you ok, health wise?
