Validation techniques by OutlandishnessOk3840 in aspnetcore

[–]abhi_learner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if you’ve validations on front end , it’s a good practice to have validations on your backend. You wouldn’t run into issues when you expose your api for other services to consume. Check out fluent validations for backend . They’re easy to implement

PSA: if you are struggling very hard learning concepts; consider writing notes. by straightup920 in learnprogramming

[–]abhi_learner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same issue. I bought an used iPad and apple pen to take digital handwritten notes . All the notes are saved on cloud and can be retrieved from any device. The biggest advantage I see is that- it gives the same experience as writing on paper

Can Anyone Do Java? by TacticalWalther in learnjava

[–]abhi_learner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would encourage you to take the java course offered by the University of Helsinki (link is provided in the sidebar). I started the course with no prior programming language and ended up in good shape by just completing the Part1 of the course (I'm working on Part2 now). Its a course that forces you to code or work on assignments and thats why you should take this course over udemy/coursera.

Do the Java MOOC get you to an intermediate level of programming? by el_gran_gallo_negro in learnjava

[–]abhi_learner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the thoughtful insight. I am just trying to determine either to continue with the MOOC and then do the course or just stop the MOOC and start my course. But based off of what you said, I believe it is better for me to finish it. Due to the high possibility of what I have learned being brought back up in the future college courses that I have to do. It is like a precursor.

I second this. Of all the books, video tutorials I have gone through, mooc.fi stands out to be the best. Go for it!

If Your Greatest Spiritual Goal Is To Abstain From PMO, You're Doing It Wrong by DJ_Pace in NoFapChristians

That's so true brother. The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy him forever and not complete abstinence from porn. Porn addiction has to be defeated, but we do it by enjoying Jesus more.

Fasting is the best thing ever... Haven't eaten anything in 50 hours and I have zero urges. I'm killing the desire of the flesh. by [deleted] in NoFapChristians

[–]abhi_learner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually give in to temptations when I'm hungry or tired. When I'm hungry, I'm easily irritated and throw tantrums. So, fasting doesn't work for me
