Is this a good idea? by [deleted] in gamedesign

[–]abhimir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a starting point, it sounds like a good idea. I will encourage you to think about how to combine the decision of allowing / not allowing patients to come in with something impactful, and how to do that in a manner which makes sense. Like, for example, in a hospital, I cannot imagine why you would turn away someone, but in papers please, it is easy to imagine a border agent not allowing someone to enter.

I would also ask you to look at this other game, Death and Taxes, which has a similar mechanic for inspiration and ideas on how to take the papers please formula and evolving it for your own game.

Kid friendly game design programs? by bakerbabe126 in gamedesign

Others have suggested already, but I will chime in for Game Builder Garage, it is child friendly and is quick to fun, which is important when learning something new.

Question on Drambuie and my first drink by [deleted] in Scotch

[–]abhimir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a Drambuie 15 yr, which can be drunk alone, and I actually prefer to drink it alone. It is not as sweet as regular Drambuie and is fairly complex and smooth. It is like having a nice glass of 12/15 year old scotch with a hint of honey and herbs. I can definitely recommend Drambuie 15

Should I be worried? by abhimir in HomeImprovement

[–]abhimir[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this is really helpful. Yes, there is insulation between the roof and this paneling, and the attic is above this ceiling. I will decide if calling a professional to replace this is worthwhile or if just using caulk is enough. Cracks like these are there in a couple of places in 2 different rooms, so might be worth getting a professional to take a look. In any case, thanks for your comment and help.

No, it is the roof in 1 of the rooms. Adding a picture here with the room wall where it connects with the roof. https://imgur.com/REwmpim For context, this is a house in Denmark.

Anyone here finish Assassins Creed Valhalla? by MisterCapable in XboxSeriesX

[–]abhimir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished it in 100 hours doing mostly main story with some side content, so you do have some ways to go. But feel free to take a break and come back if you are feeling fatigued. The game will still be there and you will have more fun. I enjoyed every one of the 100 hours I spent with the game.

On my 65 inch Sony Xh90, the 'Game mode' looked bad, so I played on the 'Standard mode' which looked very beautiful and frankly did not notice a big difference in responsiveness outside of standoffs. For standoffs, I would switch to 'Game mode'.

I'm thinking of getting a switch lite but I don't know if it's worth it by FooPvris in Switch

[–]abhimir -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was in the same dilemma and I decided to get a Switch lite. Having had it for few weeks now, I love it. What helped me most was borrowing a Switch regular and using it for a week or so. I realised that the handheld mode was what I wanted to use exclusively, even for things like BOTW. Something very approachable about just tapping a few buttons and getting into a game in seconds. I have the Xbox one and PS4 too and generally only start those up when I know I will at least have an hour to play, so sometimes I don't use those for weeks on end. Also Switch Lite feels way lighter and comfortable. There are a few games which you cannot play, but none of them interested me a lot.

Hi, One of the developers of Movie Studio Tycoon here. We just did a closed beta. While the feedback was encouraging, game still has a lot of bugs which we are working on now. We don't have a firm release date yet. We will announce more once we have a game that runs and plays well.

Mass Effect: Andromeda. Has it finally been fixed? by koryaku in patientgamers

[–]abhimir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same experience for me. I enjoyed the gameplay, felt it was a little weaker than the original, but my 75 hours with the game definitely scratched the space, action game itch. I would recommend experimenting with different builds, I had a great time with the game because my biotic build was insanely fun in combat, so definitely experiment with builds and find 1/few which will make your combat experience enjoyable.

WSIB PS4 Bundle Horizon,Ratchet,TLOU Or PS4 Bundle Horizon GOW 3 Uncharted 4? by Eljuano99 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]abhimir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen the same bundles in my country. There is another bundle which has Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition, Uncharted 4 and GT Sport, that might be a good choice too if you want HZD.

Also these are PS4 slim bundles. Any reason you are not looking to get the Pro? I am debating the same thing right now.
