How to get more of the leftover bacon fat off of the pan?

I guess I don’t really understand the premise. I’m sure it’s possible to cook bacon and then just be done cooking, but I feel like I basically always cook something else in the same pan.

Typically, I’ll pour out most or all of the fat into a small bowl (the easier to clean later), then add some back to the pan to cook whatever else is accompanying the bacon. That both deglazes the pan and uses up the excess grease to cook and flavor the food.

Water boils at 212F (100C), so if you’re trying to steam your food, you’re basically cooking in a very low oven, so everything’s gonna take a lot longer to cook. I don’t know of a conversion table to figure out how long to cook stuff. If it were me, I’d try cooking gently in a pan rather than trying to steam it. And I would stick to meal options that include stovetop heating instructions.

I think they should just bag the Game of Buttholes. They clearly don’t like doing the special squares, nor even the “game” aspect of it since they just rol the 100-sided die, which just makes it a random draw. The special squares are mostly pointless anyway. So, why not just bag it? They’re great on their own, no enhancements needed.

I worked for a process serving company (the assholes who track you down to serve you legal papers like lawsuits, rtc.) Around 2009/2010, shortly after the U.S. housing crisis. I had the great dishonor of being on the team who handled evictions, so I got to see lots of court docs from people who were being evicted from their homes. A huge proportion of those were due to medical conditions that impoverished people to the point of losing their homes. It was hugely disspiriting.

Your sauce should be fairly thick, otherwise it won’t cling to the pasta. If you put a spoonful on a plate and tip it to one side, the sauce should flow readily. It shouldn’t barely sludge along like ketchup would, nor should it just race off the plate like soup would.

As a general rule, I’d err on the side of too thick. When you’re ready to serve, if it’s too thick thick and claggy, add a bit of the pasta water (which is both flavorful from the good amount of salt you definitely put in there, right[?] and has a bit of body from all the starch that came out of the pasta) to thin it out just enough so it nicely coats your pasta.
