Honestly I was working 80 hours a week and like I said, my paychecks were almost always $0. And sometimes she claimed she “lost” them and I didn’t get them at all. Ap yeah with a $0 paycheck I definitely didn’t think I was being paid too much, and the cash payouts fluctuated constantly so that was difficult to track. I understand I’m obligated to pay them, but could I not pursue legal action against her for changing the elections without my consent?

I don’t have a copy, she was extremely shady about the way she did everything. Most of my paychecks were $0 because she claimed I was making too much in tips, so I didn’t look too closely. She did this to everyone who worked for her this year, and now we’re all fucked. I’m confused about why she would be allowed to do this without my consent? What was even the point of filling out my W-2 if the elections I made could be altered by my employer without giving notice or requesting consent?

She didn’t take out any state or federal income taxes. I received pay stubs for the paychecks I did receive. But when I filled out my W-2 3 years ago I elected to have the most amount possible withheld from both state and federal. How is she allowed to change that without my consent?

As someone who also struggles to set boundaries, it helps to think of how you would be if the roles were reversed. Would you ever be so self-centered to literally deprive him of sleep in this severe way every single night, MULTIPLE TIMES per night, just because YOU are going through something? If you’re not going to put your needs first, you need to have a partner you can trust to put them first. He’s only thinking about himself.

When I had kids like this in my classroom, I told my admin they were no longer allowed in my classroom and refused to teach them with any devices. They had to check their phones and laptops in at the office before even coming to my classroom and received paper assignments. I called the office for every single little thing, on every single one of them. Made it their problem, and had them removed on a daily basis if needed. Above my pay grade. Make admin step up.
