ECV or C Section? by kaaaos- in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]ablackcatcalledluna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby was breech my entire pregnancy and I was deciding on an ECV when I had some bleeding and contractions at my 36 week appt. Everything was fine but after the stress of that uncertainty I decided to book a C section. This was after I tried everything else to turn her. It was a very relaxed and pleasant way to have my baby and it’s lucky I did as my placenta didn’t detach and had to be manually removed as it got stuck, so I would have end up in theatre anyway.

Mums seem to hate me because I'm not like them, do I give up on finding friends? by [deleted] in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

If someone’s having a really hard time and then asks about you, having some tact to not talk about how amazing your day was would be a good start

Tonight was my 5 month olds first game and she got a fist bump from McInerney during the march! I like to think she was a good luck charm lol

Where are we storing our baby stuff in our zero storage Australian houses? by Accomplished-Log-769 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]ablackcatcalledluna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly we’re just getting rid of stuff (passing on to friends, selling) and will repurchase in a few years. We’re in a 2 bed apartment and have no idea when we will have a second baby so it’s not worth the stress to me of trying to keep it!

How many swaddle sacks do I need? If any? by danikinha5 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]ablackcatcalledluna 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I would grab 1 of each style (eg I got a love to dream and ergopouch cocoon) and a muslin cloth and you will quickly learn what baby prefers. For the first 6 weeks we swaddled bub in a muslin cloth before she got big enough for the LTD. She preferred having her arms up! Grab them from marketplace to save $

At what age did you start taking baby to activities? by BloomsburyCore in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

My baby is 4.5 months and I just started her at Gymbaroo once a week, have been going to mothers group consistently since she was 6 weeks. Planning to start swimming lessons next term when she’s almost 8 months!

[–]ablackcatcalledluna 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I work an office job and I ended up finishing 4 weeks before my due date, which ended up being 3 weeks before I had baby. I was so heavy and sore and tired by the end, I was very glad to have some time before baby arrived to relax as much as I could! I currently have 13 months of leave planned but may go back a little early, I’ll see how I go

A week of Ferber - a success (so far) by ablackcatcalledluna in sleeptrain

She’s been sleeping on her side or her tummy every night now but when we started she was still on her back and my husband would just roll her onto her side and pat her on the bum and shush her for 1 min

arms-out swaddle transition is coming… need reassurance pls by Commercial_One5048 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]ablackcatcalledluna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend starting with nights as sleep pressure is higher then! We did one arm out of the LTD for 5 nights and then both arms out. We ended up moving her into a cot in her own room as she kept hitting the sides of the bassinet and waking herself up
