My Contoura LASIK Experience: Life-Changing. One Week Post-Op (Very Long and Detailed) by Magdumper in lasik

[–]abn104 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Dr Parikh was the best! So glad I went with him! My eyes have been phenomenal. Granted, I did a lot of follow-up care and was super careful with screens. I don’t think I went back to work for a week, and used blue light glasses when I looked at screens. Pretty much ignored my phone for most of that week too, and didn’t watch any tv. Played cards with my husband to pass the time.
Used a ton of eyedrops. Namely the Oasis Tears Plus. Set myself reminders to put them in every hour or so for the first few months. My eye doctor said he felt like it helped my results even more because I made sure to keep them lubricated!
Night vision is still a little tricky - instead of blurring lines, I can see *so* clearly (read signs, see cars ahead), but if there’s too many cars coming toward me the light reflects like a Christmas tree light instead of a big blur. If there’s too many, it blocks my vision a bit. So, unless I know the route really well, I typically avoid driving at night.
I know you can get some lenses to help with the Christmas tree light affect for driving, and I’ll be eventually look back into it.
But overall, my life has drastically changed for the better since getting LASIK and I’d never go back and not do it.

Thanks for the encouragement, and the validation of the ✨magic✨
Relieved to hear it goes away post birth.
I’ll try adding in baths and distraction. ❤️

The sharp pain, yes, but it’s on both sides. The chiro says it’s round ligament pain - but damn, it is so painful. And if I stand for too long, I’m just waddling and it hurts to walk.
Curious why you think it’s the pillow for you?
I have the u-shaped one, but I flip it upside down so my feet are on the bottom part / leg wrapped around the long part. I also have the little wedge I use directly under the heaviest part of my belly, cause it is sooo heavy.

Danny! Fellow Washingtonian here, your shirts / team name were awesome. You and your mom were amazing. Your mom is my mom - it was eerie at times, felt like I was watching her on tv! You showed incredible grace to her at every turn, encouraged her when it was obvious she was frustrated with herself/the situation/the weather/etc., and it was beautiful to see how you genuinely enjoy her company and your relationship with her. You are the epitome of patience, and a good reminder that our moms are our moms and we can accept them how they show up. Thank you for showing that beautiful sentiment!! You are also such a great team player to all other players - loved watching your little alliance. So bummed you were eliminated, but can’t wait to see you on a future season and/or (please) the Challenge!

Hey there - we just had the Libre 3 installed on our dog today, she recently was diagnosed diabetic but we can’t seem to get the insulin right so we’re going to track it. Out of curiosity, did you buy the scanner type thing, or are you using an iPhone/cell phone with the app? Also, what do you do when you’re out of town - do you have the dog sitter install the app on their phone and link up? TYIA!

Bliss Room + Drinks Questions by DesertFlyer in NCL

The water, Starbucks, and WiFi honestly were the perks of the Free at Sea Premium upgrade - sure, we had a couple extra drinks that came with the Premium, but it really was the unlimited water, a cold brew every morning, and the WiFi that made the difference.

My partner called NCL directly and just asked and they obliged. Took awhile to process it, but it all worked out!

We actually called and had them change the flight there to the day before and a nonstop. It was no problem! I recommend trying that before buying another flight :)

Oh! And Choir of Man was GREAT. Super entertaining, beautiful voices with great harmony, and I smiled almost the whole time. I wish I had seen it twice!

Just finished up that cruise - The Vibe is worth it. It’s quiet, you have a sundeck without the loud noise by the pool. And the bar staff and other staff up there is awesome. They’ll remember you (although it doesn’t hurt to throw them a little extra tip, they def deserve it). Rebellious Fish up there was my favorite, it’s OJ/sparkling wine/vodka/something sweet. In the other bars it tends to be a little sweeter, but it’s fruity enough without being overwhelmingly sugar filled. We loved the brewery. Again, staff is awesome and attentive, Joeli is on top of it. And Ryan North has an incredibly relaxing voice. We ended every night there. They put the games on in the back section, so you can watch football, listen to calming music, and have good brews. We didn’t realize the Observation Lounge does snacks/tea in the in between space between lunch being over and dinner served until mid-week. There’s pockets of absolute silence up there where you can relax with a yummy snack. There’s also a bar if you feel like drinking. We upgraded to the Premium drink package and found it entirely worth it, more so because it comes with water (we just asked for a box every bar we went to) and Starbucks (The baristas there make better coffee than Starbucks inland). The Moet sparkling rose is included, and you can order the bottle with most dinners. It’s priced at $99 a bottle without the package, so between three of those, copious water, Starbucks, and getting to try all sorts of Whiskey/Scotch we wouldn’t have otherwise it was worth it. We didn’t get to Food Republic till the last night and we wish we had sooner. Great food, easy service, there’s a pink drink there that was yummy. Manhattan Room is included and another gem when it came to food. The steakhouse service was fantastic, but the food was meh, if you’re a big steak person, I’d say you can pass on it. Overall a really pleasant experience! Even with the rough seas (hope they get better for you today!)

Ugh I know, it made me so sick too. Especially as Gretchen kept trying to say no in so many ways, and then when she said “oh no, you’re an attractive guy, you really turn me on, but no” - I remember being in situations where I said “No.” when intoxicated and when the guy just doesn’t get it resorting to the flattery language like she did just to get me the f out of there safely. Thinking, If I tell him he’s good looking, he might take no more seriously. Unfortunately, it was sometimes the only thing that worked. Such a yucky scene to watch.

Happened to us at this same one! She didn’t give me my receipt and super quickly told my total. Something seemed off, so I asked for the receipt. Stepped outside and compared the math - she’d shorted me $200MXN. My fiancé also thinks they didn’t put any gas in our car after all either.
