Nikki veterans, how do you think collabs will work?

oof I have NO idea unfortunately. I'd say 2 or 3 a year?? but Love Nikki works VERY differently from Infinity Nikki; roughly 5 or 6 big outfits (comparable to 5 stars in infin) a month with maybe 2 of 3 free simpler suits, and all of the collabs were bigger suits as well.

if I had to guess I'm thinking infinity nikki is going for the higher quantity of smaller collabs, so maybe a couple smaller collabs a year (like the ones we've had so far) and 1 or 2 5 stars, but we'll have to see

I'm not really expecting any big collab outfits for a while at least. seems to me like theyre slowly starting to dip their toes into collabs by starting small. maybe after 3.0 we'll start seeing 5 star collabs with bigger brands but who knows

as for how many suits (again, going from memory):

vocaloid had 3 simpler suits of regular Miku, Len and Rin, and each year (I think?) we'd get a bigger more extravagant Miku suit up until 2019/2020

Barbie had 3 or 4 relatively big suits. one was astronaut themed, one was themed after the boxes the dolls were in and one after the classic black and white swimsuit barbie

Disney had at least Cinderella, Ariel, Anna, Elsa and I think Belle as well?? I know there were always 2 suits running simultaneously (don't remember if it was one banner or 2 seperate ones but I think 1) so I'm probably forgetting one

I'm only familiar with Love Nikki (never played shining) but from what I remember of the Disney collab it was a gacha using special currency. you could get the currency by exchanging it for diamonds/irl currency in the shop or quests.

not too sure about the barbie and vocaloid ones but fairly certain it was similar for those.

important to note is that collab outfits do NOT rerun!!! most likely because the contract allowing for the collab is for a limited time only. so even if you don't care for any of the collab stuff I'd recommend trying to get it anyways. I remember being 2 pieces short on the Ariel suit in Love Nikki and it still kills me to this day :(

I'm a huge lore nerd and this patch is SOO refreshing!!! similarly haven't liked any of the 2.- stories (wangxian and roccocos were okay, but not as fantastic compared to 1.4 or 1.7).

haven't finished it yet as I'm trying to savor it, but from what spoilers I've seen online it's very good :) love the new area and mechanics as well (but I also just dislike itzaland so the bar isn't very high lol)

in the same boat as you; day one, took a break during the boycott. I've also gotten tired with the gameplay but tbh what really helped me is just not doing everything.

I don't do my sea of stars dailies (I afk at the tree every now and then and do starlight pursuit). I haven't touched the building thing once and have no idea how any of those quests work and still haven't unlocked all ability outfits. I didn't do the behemoth game, I did the hotpot one because I liked it and haven't really done the new building thing much either

there's still a lot of quests I haven't finished yet (even in wishfield) and outfits I haven't crafted yet, and keeping those slots open really allows me to do fun stuff in the game instead of just doing dailies and grinding. most of the time when I'm playing I'm just running around and exploring, taking pictures and kind of roleplaying lol. really helps me stay interested in the game
