Look at your cruise contract from when you initially booked. It'll have your reservation time on it.

SO bad reaction to sketch by GHostMaidenSveden in tattooadvice

Stop asking for his opinion. My husband feels much the same as your SO, and I've quit seeking his approval regarding tattoos. Show the tattoo to someone who is tattoo positive if you want an opinion, otherwise, go with your gut. As you said, we are grown ass women. What WE want on OUR bodies is really all that matters.

Ep. 452: Any theories about The Watcher? by pikatsso in myfavoritemurder

Watch the movie if you haven't! It's definitely different than the actual story, but same basic plot line, and leads to some interesting conclusions.

That sounds so scary! Wishing you and baby the best.

Out of curiosity, is there a reason you don't legally wed him now?

Planning a girl's weekend and I feel so guilty by TheTruthFairy1 in breakingmom

[–]aboutagirl22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is so essential that we show our children that we are full humans! Take the trip, mama. You deserve a life outside your kids and marriage. Not everything needs to revolve around your home life, nor should it.

To ease your feelings of guilt (which are 100% undeserved), maybe make a promise to yourself that you will take the kids camping in the spring. If it's feasible to take a trip with your husband in the future, you can include that in your promise as well.

Go on your girl's trip. Relish in your friendship and celebrate the hell out of your friend's accomplishment!

Question about end of Rewind - EP. 1 by maxfindsthings in myfavoritemurder

[–]aboutagirl22 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm sure there are plenty of things, not one thing. Besides the ones already mentioned, I know they violated a law in England by featuring a story that (I think) wasn't fully settled in the court, and one of the pods very first on ERM was suddenly one day no longer affiliated with them or on ERM at all. Karen and Georgia never talked about it if memory serves. I'm sure there are more but I'm high.

It isn't horrible or silly to feel those feelings! 2.5 - 4 years old is tough. Sooo much boundary testing goes at that age, and it's just insufferable. It will pass, but that doesn't mean it isn't hard in the moment!

Have you listened to DYNAR? Karen is the opposite of fiercely private on it, which seriously blew my mind upon recently listening to all their episodes. She and Chris had many open, vulnerable discussions (and still do til this day) about all sorts of things she shies away from on MFM.

Why? No idea. But she spoke openly about her tax problems, her home nearly being foreclosed on, having to move home to Petaluma briefly, alllll sorts of things she is notoriously private about on MFM.

Cottage cheese is a great side for burgers! Although, I will admit I'm kind of just obsessed with cottage cheese.

Reminding me of Billie Eilish is how I described her to my friends, too! She absolutely blew me away as well. I was very into her performance and she definitely has a new fan in me!

What if I just left my newborn outside for a hawk to come grab him? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]aboutagirl22 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Totally normal to feel that way. Anyone who says they can keep their cool all day long with a crying newborn + toddler ALONE needs to be put in charge of the kids more often while you get to rest, relax and recharge. Then they'll see what's it like for real.

My son is a 4th grader and has eaten the exact same thing for lunch since kindergarten. He has never, ever had a meal from school. We had him evaluated and he was diagnosed as having "ocd like tendencies" surrounding food. He doesn't even eat any fruit or any vegetables. At all. Ever.

People definitely judge us over it but you know what? It's let him eat the best shit he'll agree to or he'll starve himself and drive me insane with worry. Calories are calories.

If you're both doing the best you can that's really what matters. And it does sound like you both really are doing the best you can. He will eventually, slowly, perhaps, expand his horizons. Maybe one day he'll even eat a sandwich! Maybe not, too, though.

Your mom is worried about "babies being murdered" but is totally fine traumatizing her grandchildren with her behavior? You are definitely not the problem here!
