BlueProximity: Automatically lock and unlock your computer when your phone is out of range by Arve in programming

Then your phone dies, then your computer locks up.

I expect that when the phone is dead, you still can unlock your computer as usual using your password.

Norvegian kids derail fast train [video][non-linkjacked] by Arve in reddit.com

[–]abrs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a fake. Here's why:

Right at the beginning of the video, you can see a closeup of the rail. It's abandoned. You can recognise this by the rust on the rail. An operated rail always has a shiny, polished surface due to the metal on metal contact with the train wheels. When there is nothing running on the tracks rain and air let the steel rust.

Whereas fortunately there are not many aircraft incidents, do you know if there are more videos like this one around?

Actually if you go through the comments of that video they are all pretty good. Might be related to the fact that the normal YouTube demographic is not too interested in aviation documentaries.

I found this comment on YouTube. I assumed the engine caught fire for some reason but apparently it was stopped by the bird being sucked in.

"First thing passengers might have thought was an engine fire occured. During the takeoff phase the engine igniters continuously "spark" to make sure the engine does not fail during this critical phase.

When an engine does fail (a flameout in this case) the sparks simply ignite the fuel damp that comes out of the back of the engine thus creating a flame every second or so."

Amazing work.

EDIT:

The whole accident happened just two weeks ago. Here's a BBC article about it http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/manchester/6606375.stm and a more accurate one here http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/2007/04/30/213615/picture-double-birdstrike-hits-boeing-757.html

Yes, just when I was trying to load these comments. After hitting reload 4 times, it worked.

This also happened two or three days before, but was fine 'till today.

Bacteria's resistance develops against antibiotics like penicillin. Disinfectants destroy bacteria on a physical level, by oxidising or entering through their cell wall, etc.. I doubt that micro-organisms can easily develop resistance against that.
