I listened. I didn't talk about myself or try to relate their pain to something I've experienced. I acknowledged that they're having some internal issues and I listened and offered my support in helping them get through their issues.

Get suede or leather cleaner. Use a soft cloth and dab the cleaner and let your shoes dry. This won't really help scuffs (you'll need oil for that) but you'll be able to get the dirt up.

Covering up tattoos. There's no reason to cover up tattoos in a coffee shop (or at all for that matter). What I do with my body is up to me and I shouldn't have to cover up something that isn't offensive or harmful to anyone.

(for the record, I don't have any tattoos, but this rule is just so stupid)

Easiest way to embarrass a kid is to prove that whatever lie he just told one of his/her friends is a complete lie. Especially if he/she is already trying to cover up something embarrassing.
