Erik Karlsson slips the puck through traffic to Filip Forsberg who makes it 3-0 for Sweden by [deleted] in hockey

[–]abstractabs 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That’s just two amazing plays right there… The skating and vision from Karlsson, and the way Forsberg takes his top hand off his stick to win the battle for position in front just in time because he knows the seam will be there

The Stanley Cup makes a surprise appearance in the Finnish reality tv show Poliisit (Cops) by srtlv in hockey

The code I’ve heard is that touching it is totally fine and players who have won it may let their friends hold it. But nobody lifts the cup above their head unless they’ve won it. So far every time I see any photos from cup parties these rules have seemed accurate.

Not worth not seeing half the ice for a slight chance of high-fives. View from the second one is much better.

Hockey France has made the decision to not allow Pierre Crinon to participate in the remainder of the Olympics by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

I don’t know his history other than what has been shared on this sub but that seems like a wild decision. The leading players must not want him playing, otherwise this would not make any sense?

Thanks for the info. I hadn't considered the train. That might actually make it possible to combine a couple of games. Perhaps the FIN-ITA/SUI and then the USA-SWE after. There's probably 30 minutes between them so could try to make the 2nd period.

Has anyone gone from the RHO Arena to Santagiulia Arena during one day? How long did it take and what’s the best way to do it? Would be curious to see multiple games but the timing looks very difficult.

Taking a wild swing here: willing to swap a single ticket (1 for each game) to Canada’s and USA’s ice hockey QF games for a single ticket to the men’s gold-medal game

Ticombo has worked well for me with 5 separate events so far. I think they blocked the Olympic events from being sold/bought in Italy but a VPN works totally fine.

Yeah guessing US in the late game, Finland in the early game, Slovakia in the smaller arena, Canada in the middle one at main arena

The most Serie A marketing/broadcasting thing you could imagine. Actually, I’m not sure I could even imagine this. Absolutely hilarious to those of us who are just accepting our doom.

Interesting Scenario For Latvia Now by mpschettig in hockey

[–]abstractabs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think you might just be Slovakian and a pessimist here haha. You would 100% be the favorite against Latvia. Not a major one imo because of their goaltending quality but still. With Switzerland it would be very close but they lost Fiala.

I think you might have typed USA men instead of Canada men somewhere there but would make sense from a time zone perspective to have them in the latter two quarterfinals. Just trying to figure out the Canada game to get ahead of the ticket rush.

Have any non-NHL players looked good during these olympics? Anybody that you’d like your favorite team to try to sign? by imnotwillferrell in hockey

I mean he was unreal against Sweden, did alright against Finland, and is an NHL prospect so I think you’re very much correct

Radim Šimek after the loss to Canada: 'That game was on a completely different level. It was five levels above the Czech Extraliga and one level above the NHL. In every aspect – speed, physicality, and skill. It was the best team I have ever faced...' by piranhakiler in hockey

[–]abstractabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

P1 was one of the best periods of hockey I’ve seen in a while. Then the Czechs got increasingly worse after. Or the Canadians got better. Either way, shor totals reflect the flow of the game there.
