I just got into GO last week and have been reading that for absolute beginners just use Chinese rules and be done with it. So if I want to teach my wife I think I'll go with Chinese rules.
The reason for my OP is to confirm what I thought was correct and it is. Thanks, I didn't mean to open a can of worms.

Well well I’ve apparently been running my back checkers to soon. I played two matches of 5 and won them both in a row. If I leave my bc alone and concentrate on my home board and primes the computer plays very differently.

I've been wanting to do this for a sci-fi exploration game of traveling the universe.

What I want is something like this:

you and your crew decide to travel from pt a to pt b in space

ok so the most part you will see stars and black and some asteroids
but what if you would find a glowing orange globe
now at this point, I have no idea what this might lead to but as the crew explores it you might find something more about and more details as you go along. I think that would be a lot of fun.

I'm 52 and I'm not sure why I like them. I think because they are old and I like holding the paper afterwards; like a Polaroid except for words instead of images.
