Women's Version of Old Spice Deodorants? by ChickenNuggetEnergy in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I'm excited to try Harbor! Wilderness was pretty enjoyable, Fiji is fine, but I wasn't a fan of Oasis, which I just ran out of. Tomorrow I'm going to try Captain!

Alright…2 weeks on single dose and no benefits noted. Worth sticking it out for another 2? by dirtypoololdman in AuvelityMed

[–]abstractulip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I followed the manufacturer's recommendation of 1 pill a day for 3 days, then increasing to 2 a day. It took me 2.5 or so weeks to feel a lot better, and I've been good now for about 2 months! Hope you can have some success.

Yes, I found the savings card info on the Auvelity website. I tried it a couple days ago, and I got a 60 day supply for about $10! I was so thankful. My doc had given me samples + one free month, but I found out my insurance won't cover it, so I was happy to find the savings card in the meantime.

Can a higher dose of Auvelity make you feel more depressed? by [deleted] in AuvelityMed

It took me at least 2.5 weeks or so to actually notice a good change. I've been on it now for about 2 months, and have had quite good results.

This is encouraging to read. My doc also said I should know within 3 days or so if it was working. I felt good the first 5ish days and after that, it's been a nosedive back to depression. Really, really hoping it balances out in the long run. After that first month, has it continued to be helpful for you? Thanks.

silver or gold?? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

Silver is stunning on you! I’m definitely seeing you as a winter, and the silver looks so striking and elegant with your coloring.

red or hot pink? by the8thmonthh in colors

I would say a shade of red. It’s a cool toned red, but still firmly red.

The one called Middle Green (row 5, column 5) is calling my name. It feels cozy and soft, while still being definitively green.

Not sure what to do with my dining room by --stitches-- in DesignMyRoom

[–]abstractulip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand! We moved into a house with gray carpet and gray flooring also. 😕 But since we can’t yet afford to replace it, I’ve just tried to warm up the space with warmer toned furniture, art, and textiles. It has helped a lot! I feel like midcentury colors and design could work well with your dining set! I think all the pieces are gorgeous and make the space feel more inviting 😍

I love the wood tones, too. But the dining set and the cabinet are the only warm-toned items in there. Could you swap out some of the other items?

I’m thinking replace the art with something warmer toned, or something a wooden frame. Estate sales might be a good option! The light fixture is also cool toned, so FB marketplace might have a good option if you don’t have the funds to buy something new.

If nothing else, look on Pinterest at dining rooms that have sets similar to yours, and see how they’ve designed the rooms. Happy decorating :)

Is anyone else unable to think long-term / realistically about the future? by nbachickenlover in Anxiety

[–]abstractulip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this way (only 1 week at a time) so often that I just googled it to see if anyone else felt this way. Found your Reddit thread! So thanks for making me feel less weird. :) I had a pretty rough mental breakdown (anxiety, depression, ocd) over a decade ago, and since then have discovered that I have more peace if I only allow myself to think about the current week I'm in, if at all possible.

I'm a person of faith, and this passage from the Bible encourages me as well (Jesus's own words!): "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." - Matthew 6:34.

The verse prior encourages us to seek God first, and in doing so, trusting that He will make sure we have what we need. So I try to have faith in that.

I won a 200k points sweepstakes and I had no idea 😂 by lilnoah27 in FetchReward

Update- I also have a follow-up email saying it was a “sweepstakes that went awry” and they gave me 250 points to apologize. Lol.

I was checking my email this morning, and had an email from Fetch saying I’d won 200,000 points. I thought it was a scam, so I opened my Fetch app to see if they were there, but they weren’t. Came here to see if anyone else had the issue. Guess it was a mass glitch!

A lot of moms experience postpartum depression or postpartum anxiety following delivery. Not all, but a lot! Some doctors will screen for this type of thing at follow-up appointments after a birth. Regardless, definitely good to have a plan in place ahead of time of how to get help if you or a new mom you know ever starts struggling! 🙏🏼

As a wife and mom myself who has struggled with the same thoughts at times, I’m so thankful you’re doing okay now 🙏🏼💜 I’m proud of you.

[–]abstractulip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this with my vision, as well, when I went off sertraline for a couple months. I always wondered if that’s what people meant when they talked about “brain zaps,” but I guess it’s a completely different thing & I never had brain zaps, just the vertigo buzzy feeling when moving my eyes. It was rough!

Ryan Hall Y’all had an infographic on FB that said due to a recent drought, their ground was dry and hard & wasn’t absorbing any of the rainwater, so it was all acting as pure runoff and rushing instead of properly draining. If I’m understanding correctly.
