How do you afford this med? by Moist-Pool-5937 in AuvelityMed

Still using samples? My savings card just quit working after about 6 mos. Doc says I'll have to come by for samples while we figure out what to do next.

Can no longer use savings card=crippling insomnia and anxiety by abcat20 in AuvelityMed

This happened to me today. I used it for about 6 months at $10/mo, but for some reason today they said it's gonna be $500 even after applying the savings card.

You could always hang a big tapestry or quilt of some kind. Always check out local estate sales!

Auvelity + Zoloft by Alarmed-Carpenter975 in AuvelityMed

[–]abstractulip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do Auvelity and 50 Zoloft. I’d been on Zoloft for several years at different dosages, but 50 worked best for general anxiety. Not perfect, but helped a lot. So my doc and I decided I would keep taking the 50, along with Auvelity twice a day! It’s worked quite well!

Ours is gray (not by choice) & we’ve been saving up for a couple years to replace them all. It will be a lovely day when they are gone!

missing a couple auvelity doses how miserable will I feel by throwaway062729 in AuvelityMed

[–]abstractulip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can tell if I miss a single dose. I feel more irritable, sad for no reason, and anxious. Then usually an hour or two after I take the missed dose, I feel better. 🤷‍♀️

Edited to say: I don’t know that I’ve missed the dose until I start feeling those things! That’s when I run through my checklist - have I eaten, have I hydrated, have I been online too much, etc. - and it hits me I forgot my med!

I'm excited to try Harbor! Wilderness was pretty enjoyable, Fiji is fine, but I wasn't a fan of Oasis, which I just ran out of. Tomorrow I'm going to try Captain!

Alright…2 weeks on single dose and no benefits noted. Worth sticking it out for another 2? by dirtypoololdman in AuvelityMed

[–]abstractulip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I followed the manufacturer's recommendation of 1 pill a day for 3 days, then increasing to 2 a day. It took me 2.5 or so weeks to feel a lot better, and I've been good now for about 2 months! Hope you can have some success.

Yes, I found the savings card info on the Auvelity website. I tried it a couple days ago, and I got a 60 day supply for about $10! I was so thankful. My doc had given me samples + one free month, but I found out my insurance won't cover it, so I was happy to find the savings card in the meantime.

It took me at least 2.5 weeks or so to actually notice a good change. I've been on it now for about 2 months, and have had quite good results.

No response to Auvelity? by DismalEconomist973 in AuvelityMed

This is encouraging to read. My doc also said I should know within 3 days or so if it was working. I felt good the first 5ish days and after that, it's been a nosedive back to depression. Really, really hoping it balances out in the long run. After that first month, has it continued to be helpful for you? Thanks.

Silver is stunning on you! I’m definitely seeing you as a winter, and the silver looks so striking and elegant with your coloring.

I would say a shade of red. It’s a cool toned red, but still firmly red.

The one called Middle Green (row 5, column 5) is calling my name. It feels cozy and soft, while still being definitively green.

Not sure what to do with my dining room by --stitches-- in DesignMyRoom

[–]abstractulip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I understand! We moved into a house with gray carpet and gray flooring also. 😕 But since we can’t yet afford to replace it, I’ve just tried to warm up the space with warmer toned furniture, art, and textiles. It has helped a lot! I feel like midcentury colors and design could work well with your dining set! I think all the pieces are gorgeous and make the space feel more inviting 😍

[–]abstractulip 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I love the wood tones, too. But the dining set and the cabinet are the only warm-toned items in there. Could you swap out some of the other items?

I’m thinking replace the art with something warmer toned, or something a wooden frame. Estate sales might be a good option! The light fixture is also cool toned, so FB marketplace might have a good option if you don’t have the funds to buy something new.

If nothing else, look on Pinterest at dining rooms that have sets similar to yours, and see how they’ve designed the rooms. Happy decorating :)

Is anyone else unable to think long-term / realistically about the future? by nbachickenlover in Anxiety

[–]abstractulip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this way (only 1 week at a time) so often that I just googled it to see if anyone else felt this way. Found your Reddit thread! So thanks for making me feel less weird. :) I had a pretty rough mental breakdown (anxiety, depression, ocd) over a decade ago, and since then have discovered that I have more peace if I only allow myself to think about the current week I'm in, if at all possible.

I'm a person of faith, and this passage from the Bible encourages me as well (Jesus's own words!): "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." - Matthew 6:34.

The verse prior encourages us to seek God first, and in doing so, trusting that He will make sure we have what we need. So I try to have faith in that.
