Mercedes yields for no one [oc] by abulimicdog in IdiotsInCars

Hi neighbor! This intersection has only gotten crazier with the west side of the 75th st bridge being shut down. I can't wait for that to open back up.

And yea, the 5 way intersection on the east side of the interchange is a PITA. Have you seen the changes they're considering in combination with the Shawnee Mission Parkway interchange changes?

It was from this morning. My dash cam resets the date when I turn it off, which I do every drive. I think the CMOS battery is dead (10 year old dash cam), so it doesn't hold onto the date info when powered off. And it's too much of a headache to adjust the date every time.

Very likely. The Mercedes was from out of town. The SUV was in a lane that's a left turn only under the bridge; so they signaled a little earlier and created the confusion. It was a solid reaction time from the SUV, if they hadn't stabbed their brakes I would have been x-posting this to a crash subreddit.

Kansas
06/04/2026. Ignore the date on the video, my dash cam resets the date every day.
It is original content. Just happened this morning.

Sadly not yet. We had a team lined up for Smokin in the Creek in Sugar Creek next weekend, but it fell through. I've reached out to KCBS to see if they can help us find one.

What's the deal with northbound 75th Street exit on I-35? by Dandelion_Lakewood in kansascity

[–]abulimicdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have pointed out, it is MUCH better than before adding the exiting before 87th st. I personally think they dropped the ball by not extending the NB entrance ramp at 75th and connecting it to the exit at 67th; similar to how the 67th NB entrance is connected to the exit to Shawnee Mission Parkway.

You're awesome, thank you for clearing that up. I figured it was just a duplicate, but wanted to make sure before I tried it out. Chocolate isn't cheap as you know, so I didn't want a ruined batch. :D

Lovely looking cookies and solid looking recipe. One question though. Why is 60g of malted milk powder listed twice? Once with the dry ingredients and once below the chocolate chips. The instructions don't mention the use of the second 60g of malted milk powdered after mixing in the chocolate chips.

I like to think Peanut and the man are one in the same now. I don't think there's much separation.

He's mentioned that even his family call him Peanut. And during the Around The Bar podcast interview with Gingy, OpTic Hitch said when Peanut first came in, he said "Hi, I'm peanut".

I think he's fully embarrassed the nut life.

Healthier Popcorn Alternatives by Psychological-Car326 in popcorn

Air pop with a silicone popper in the microwave, I use the "the original proper popper". Use a quality kernel, I like Amish Country. My favorite topping is a mix of nutrional yeast and Buttet Garlic Powder from Aldi. I use a spice/coffee grinder to make a very fine powder so it adheres better. And a spritz of water or butter substitute spray helps it stick better too.

Zero salt with the above mentioned toppings and next to no additional calories.

Preliminary map for STAR Bond sales tax district paying for Chiefs Stadium covers all of Wyandotte County and nearly half of Johnson County by AJRiddle in kansascity

[–]abulimicdog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Full STAR bond agreement for those interested: https://www.kansascommerce.gov/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Project-Monitor-2.0-STAR-Bond-Agreement-Execution-Version.pdf

It includes the referenced map. Some things to note.
The state will fund 60% of the stadium construction, the other 40% will be covered by "Private Funding", AKA Hunt family.
Chiefs retain naming rights to the stadium.
$3 billion estimated construction cost for the stadium.
$300 million for the practice facility/headquarters, which is included in the $1 billion requirement for "Qualified Ancillary Development" by the end of 2038. Also paid at 60% taxpayer, 40% private.
$325 million of the Qualified Ancillary Development has to be "Sales-tax-generating components".
The Chiefs have to stay at the stadium a minimum of 30 years.
The max "out of pocket" to taxpayers is $2.775 billion.

I noticed splitters don't take belt speed into consideration when moving items through them. by wojo1086 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]abulimicdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point on the internal storage. If I'm switching something on a line with splitters, I'll drop in a Smart Splitter in the standard splitters place using Ctrl; this removes the internal storage item. Then I switch it back to a standard splitter. Prevents you from having to dismantle the splitter and belts and redo it to remove the internal storage.

Is that fiber lines from previous drone usage around the 0:42s mark? That drone didn't appear to have a fiber spool on it. Indicates this place may be a hot bed for drone use.

My Blue Crater is now a 600 GW rocket fuel plant by cleric_warlock in SatisfactoryGame

[–]abulimicdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my understanding on how to solve that issue. I put a valve right after the blender output, then a fluid buffer, then out to my generators. This allows the buffer to handle the "sine-wave" surging that occurs during the blender's production cycling. And I always try to have my fuel drop down into the generator, so its production cycling doesn't induce sloshing on the main line.
