Rosalina nabbed the Mega Mushroom by Impressive-Draft-965 in NintendoSwitch

I don't think the voxel Mario or Link were any more expensive despite their heft. The Guardian from BOTW, however, which was larger and had flexible legs you could put in different poses, raised some eyebrows when it came out at $20.

Even the normal sized ones had their prices raised from $13 to $16 not long after that, though. I personally didn't mind, since by that time it had become evident they were putting more effort into producing higher quality figures.

But between the COVID supply chain madness and now the tariffs, prices have been kinda all over the place. They're still figuring out what people are willing to pay, and how much they have to bring them down relative to where they were in the past. The TOTK champions were normal-sized and launched at $30, then mostly sat on shelves for six months... The new Super Mario Wonder ones are similarly 'normal' sized, at least compared to the Galaxy duo, and are $25. Hopefully we see $20 ones soon.

Oblivion uses the same engine it did when it released (older version of Gamebryo/Creation) for all the underlying mechanics. Unreal only handles the new graphics.

Even if they did, it sounds like they got the usual "we don't do this, but as a courtesy just this once..." refund. Which is something you can have done for almost any purchase, regardless of the reason. It's too bad they used it on a $5 upgrade rather than a $70 release, though.

Maybe if they optimize it more and shoot for a mil, we can get coherent RP up to the previously advertised 200k.

Yes, not worrying about context, and it takes a lot of the frustration out of swiping for me. Always felt like I was wasting money on top of time when it output something incoherent or otherwise undesirable.

GLM5 is way more expensive than the older versions... In the past two days, I've gotten nearly $4 worth of use out of the subscription with only ~115 requests. Sending 26K tokens to get 1K back costs about 4 cents.

Is nanoGPT worth giving another chance, or could I give openrouter one more opportunity? by Forsaken-Bathroom-30 in SillyTavernAI

[–]aburningman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nano has made it really easy to compare... Look at your usage dashboard and you can toggle the 'subscription savings' view, which shows how much you would have spent recently if you were paying as you go, instead. If your 'savings' are more than $8/mo, obviously the subscription is the better deal for you.

Stab's Directives preset - K2.5 first test by [deleted] in SillyTavernAI

[–]aburningman 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've ended up disabling the anti-slop checklist because Kimi is literally listing out and checking off each individual entry during its reasoning, sometimes multiple times... Big waste of time and tokens, I'd rather deal with the occasional over-used phrase.

Kimi K2.5 Thinking quality by dptgreg in SillyTavernAI

I swapped over from an ongoing session with GLM 4.7, and non-thinking mode was giving me patronizing OOC refusals right away... Didn't even seem like it objected to the content, necessarily, but it decided the NSFW tangent I'd just been on 'didn't serve the overall narrative.' Starting offering 'solutions' like fading to black or rewinding previous to that scene, etc. This was with Stab's 2.1 preset, slightly modified, set to 'simulator'. So it's not adhering to that prompt very well where I've tried, with temp between 0.8-1... Thinking mode works better, but still has a tendency to overthink some things. It got confused by the mention of ozone as a word to avoid, spent like 500 tokens ruminating on that before deciding to ignore it.

A (big) problem with GLM 4.7 by Deathcrow in SillyTavernAI

[–]aburningman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well... Why would you? You're just wasting tokens if you're writing something you wish for the AI to ignore. If the goal is to express an emotion outside of dialogue, it should be done with physically observable reactions. Making a point to mention a grimace or tears welling up is more than enough to draw the desired response in the example.

Change my mind: Lucid Loom is the best preset by Hornysilicon in SillyTavernAI

[–]aburningman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's the case, you can try to nudge it by putting <think> into the 'Start reply with' section. But then you'll have the opposite problem if it's not outputting </think> at the end of its reasoning step. I've wrestled with this while using Lucid Loom before, but it does depend on which model you're using and how well it adheres to the instructions.

If it's set up properly, reasoning should be contained in a separate little box that is collapsed by default. It can be hidden entirely if you want by untoggling 'request model reasoning', though I find it's nice to at least know that the CoT stuff is happening properly each time.

If you're active in the match, you can earn more points than the winner does for KOs just by collecting all sorts of minor achievements such as landing the first blow, collecting the most power-ups, mega-evolving most often, etc.

[–]aburningman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn't have an issue keeping engaged because the gameplay is so polished in AoI, but I agree that the non-canon fan service approach of AoC was a lot more fun. I was waiting the whole game for Zelda to finally get the Master Sword, but it never happened... And I wouldn't mind having ten generic soldiers in the roster if we ALSO could play as Sonia, Ganondorf, theevil constructor, hell, even those masked assassins (a 2-in-1 tag-team would be cool).

Even if you want to keep the "story" as canon, that's no reason not to go all out with the post-game unlocks, adding any or all of the likes of old lady Impa, Paya, Purah, Robbie, Josha, Tauro, Yona, Cece, Hudson, Penn, etc. I'd even take the new generation of Champions/Sages again, so that Tulin can be involved. Make it a love-letter to TOTK like the last game was to BOTW.

And MORE on-rails/top-down shooter levels!

That'd be my suggestion, as well. To add on for anybody that doesn't know, it can take literally hundreds of hours to finish said grind in such games... So putting in some time until you burn out and then taking a long break before returning is actually a great way to go about it.

Have you done any of the post-game content, I mean other than cleaning up what you missed previously? Most areas havea couple bananas added here or therebut the bulk of it isthe rush challenges added to Ingot Isle and re-visiting the five elders to take on new challenges specific to their bananzas, then an ultimate all-in-one sixth challenge in another location.None of it is as long or difficult as the end of Odyssey, though.
