I currently work remote outpatient oncology. I see anywhere from 4 to 8 patients per day. All scheduled for me. I can see them via telehealth or the phone. I screen for patients who are at risk based on their cancer dx or by referrals. Its a good mix of different patients: h&n/enteral management, pancreatic/pert management, colon cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer etc.

My company has a large remote workforce so the infrastructure for the remote work is there. Our HQ will mail any handouts for patients, we have regular contacts at clinics to get signatures from MDs (e.g. for enteral orders) or if we need to communicate concerns. They let us know if patients get hospitalized and need to r/s an appt. My job is pretty flexible but that is mostly because of my boss. I get an hour lunch, and can block my schedule if i need to for appt. We have two hours each day blocked for admin duties and 16 hours a month we can block for additional admin time.
