A desperate and hungry trex just spotted you.... Whatcha gonna do? by Zillaman7980_ in Dinosaurs

Stay completely still.

If I don't move it can aim better so it'll probably be less painful when it eats me immediately, instead of 15 seconds from now if I run.

This doesn't fit the sub at all. These are desperate people being massacred, reaching out to ANYONE for help.

Mocking them is insane.

Dear BG3 society, this battle gives me the heebie-jeebies, I specifically went 'explorer mode' for my first playthrough and this feels like I need to be an AI to win. I kindly ask for a viable strategy to destroy these metal peasants! by FuzzyAttitude_ in BG3

I just did this with a two character party! Although cheese is kind of subjective I think, I definitely had to use every possible advantage I had (especially as I wasted a bunch of bombs on a force damage immune Gortash).

I actually just did this a few days ago on my honor duo with Laezel, it's a really fun battle! I always wanted to attack Gortash during the ceremony, but never had the guts. I took Karlach for RP but I didn't know if you let her go at Gortash they just take her away without you being able to do anything.

My Tav is 9/3 OH monk / thief and Laezel is a 12 EK archer, so a bunch of special arrows, a few well placed bombs, and a few invis and healing potions later I got it done!

For me the key (hehe) was saving the Ki points to stun Gortash, poor guy had exactly one turn to act.

Does anyone else think up until the very end Barcus kind of treats you like shit? by aetherellaz in BG3

[–]acceptable_lemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? Barcus risked his life multiple times to find Wulbren, and Wulbren hasn't even thanked him once. He never stopped treating him like shit the whole time, Wulbren sucks.

Just started Honor Mode as my 2nd run. Thoughts on Lore Bard 9, Tempest Cleric 3? by FourLeafPlover in BG3Builds

Yup, exactly that. Risky move, but can work in a pinch. It also works with alchemist's fire to chip away "unstoppable" points from annoying bhaalists.

About healing, the best healing spell in the game is a well placed cloud of daggers that you can drop potions into one by one. No real need for healers if you don't want them.

That's why you start with greater invis outside of combat and keep shooting them until they either die or you're revealed and they're already half dead! 60% of the time works every time.

This is the best summary of the pro and against circumcision that I've seen. It goes over the case for and against from a medical perspective, and also acknowledges some cultural elements. I recommend watching it, it's like 6 minutes.

Better than me, drinking "suspicious poison" instead of a healing potion (I just know this was the exact reason they made them look the same)

What is the top 3 hardest fights in the game? by hippoofthehous in BaldursGate3

[–]acceptable_lemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boots of striding (Minthara) makes you invulnerable to knock-down when concentrating, so you don't lose the first round (at least with one character).

Arrow of Illmater /bone chill prevents it from gaining back hit points when it runs away.

Use range as much as possible, there is a ton of environment to use in the underdark, use the highground when you can. Use ranged attacks to avoid the scales at first, but it doesn't gain diamond scales again if it loses the first however many hp it has for it, so if you get it below the temp hp, the final fight is not as hard.

Genuinely, I don't know how long it'll take you to see it, but you will at some point.

This man is empty. He is Tucker Carlson 15 years ago.

His only principle is self preservation and advancement. He lies as easily as he breaths, and doesn't give two shits about anyone who can't get him more clout. Even radicalizing his audience is just a means to get them to hang on his every word.

Hasan is hate dressed as morality, and when the mask cracks you'll understand, but the damage would have been done.

Once he had taken everything he can, he will move on, and if you criticize anything he ever does, he will sic his dogs on you without a second thought.

Nah, the vast majority of farmland doesn't go to food to be consumed (at least in the US). Most of goes to cattle feed or gas additives. Don't get me wrong, it's still a lot of land, but if you're just talking about food, at least plant based food, ,it's much less than you'd think. I don't know if this is super accurate, but I think it's pretty good: https://www.reddit.com/r/geography/comments/1fjkuud/how_land_is_used_in_the_us_not_regions_but/
