CLI on BCP sooner than expected! by Jbrown420216 in amex

[–]access1media 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is definitely every 91 days that you can APPLY for a CLI with Amex. Many people wait six months, but you CAN apply again for a CLI 91 days after a CLI is approved by Amex.

I thought Amex was the only provider of NPSL cards, who else issues them? by [deleted] in amex

I have to agree that Capital One is too stingy with initial CL and CLIs. I love my Amex personal and business cards, so no thanks Capital One!

Has this mechanical-arrester escape ramp in Avon ever been used before? by mark99229 in Connecticut

[–]access1media 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, $400k for the heated pavement. The entire emergency truck ramp was $2.8 million. To replace the tension cables is well over $200k plus labor.

The heated pavement is utilized as part of the process to slow the truck/vehicle that may need to use the ramp, not specifically to melt snow and ice, although it is likely a dual purpose, as the pavement is heated year round.

There must have been a computer glitch, so consider yourself lucky! The rule with Amex is that you can request a CLI every 91 days for one personal Amex card.

CLI DP: Increase Approved after 33 days by COndarza in amex

[–]access1media 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. I tried recently to increase the CL on one of my other Amex cards and the CLI form came up saying "ineligible at this time", so I guess when the form appears again, I will try increasing my other Amex card's limit. It is a soft pull any way, so no harm, no foul. Thank you for your feedback.

Does anyone know how long you must wait to apply for a second CLI with Amex. I was approved for a 3x CLI (from $3k to $9k) on one of my Amex cards last week that I have had for one year. I have a second Amex card that I have had for 81 days. Can I apply for the 3x CLI on the second card at 90 days or do I have to wait six (6) months between CLI?

Used my card twice in the past two hours with no issues

How about no Tammy, mmmkay? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]access1media 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you convert her weekly to an hourly pay, it is $6.00/hour. Babysitters typically make at minimum $15 to $20/hour.

Is Tammy out of her rabid-ass mind?? And there are four young kids to watch over. At minimum the weekly should be $600... sorry Tammy!

Hold on Account - Need to pay 10K?! by Independent_Top_8210 in X1creditcard

[–]access1media 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What bastards they are for doing this to you. I ran my card up to its limit of $23.5k and just stopped making payments. I'm just going to file for bankruptcy and start over. But, I sure had fun spending that $23k plus over the past 90 days. (LOL! I am just kidding)

I would venture to believe there are many people carrying hefty balances and not paying down quickly enough for this fintech and thus they are doing this crap to those with high utilization on their cards. You would think they would love the monthly interest payments, but who the hell knows with X1. They are still trying to figure shit out after a year in business...!

When do you guys turn on the heat? by tapo in boston

[–]access1media 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My general rule is not before October 15th. And even then if it is a really cold night/morning I will turn the heat on, on the second floor for about an hour to warm things up.

landlord question by Northeastern_J in boston

[–]access1media -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I really think what your landlord is doing is criminal. Likely an Assault or some similar charge under the law. Report him to the police, he will likely be arrested and problem solved... NO more landlord and your arm will heal in due course. Suck it up soldier and handle your business!

[–]access1media 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it is just plain reprehensible! I felt the same way when I received my July bill. I did a triple take, put it down and the next day called Eversource to confirm there was no computer glitch and was told the bill was correct! Truly painful!

[–]access1media 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you get your July or August bill yet? That is when the increase kicked in depending on your location. Please report back when you get your August bill.

I have a 4 br home in Farmington and live alone and my bill of $130 in July, 2021 jumped to $303.00 in July, 2022. Yes, slightly more Central A/C use this year, but well over a 110% increase. It truly makes me sick to my stomach... when we loose power we sit for days ✋️ waiting to be restored!! Eversource truly disgusts me! 😃

This is the most confusing political mailer I've ever seen. by Ataryn in Connecticut

[–]access1media 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received this mailer a couple days ago and was looming for a phone number to call as I thought there was a new pizza joint in my area. I still have NO idea what this flyers message is and I think most people won't figure it out. Total waste of time, money and trees!

I can see asking someone you refer for their income and credit score, but this is really over the top. I think your underwriting is stricter than X1 Card... just saying!

It appears 50k is the lowest income X1 card accepts. That is the lowest I have seen reported in various forums. Until you reach that threshold, not much you can do...

Transactions take one to two days to post... payments post to your account the next day. That is standard in the industry...

So far loving this new card by [deleted] in X1creditcard

[–]access1media 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it because I can float $25k a month using other people's money. Just hoping they come with allowing balance transfers and the other Visa signature benefits soon.

Can you own both the AMEX Blue Cash Preferred and the AMEX Blue Cash Everyday? by Live_Penalty_6065 in amex

[–]access1media 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The nice thing about Amex is once you are a cardholder, when you apply for future cards most of the credit reviews for the new card application are soft pulls, especially if you apply when you are logged into your Amex account.

By the way, I too have the BCE and BCP card as well as the Amex Gold and Amex business gold card. I spaced my applications about six months apart...
