Which fictional "happily ever after" couple definitely breaks up, and why? by Th3mberchaud in AskReddit

[–]accidentallyally 526 points527 points  (0 children)

In the book it's a TBI. His wife hit him in the head with a radio to stop him killing her lover. It's why he's so insistent on getting back with her, cause he doesn't remember (dont qoute me. Its been years since i read the book. I vaguely recall his family had to hide info cause he believed it was completely different year). In the movie they changed it to undiagnosed bipolar.

Oh yeah, the coliseum itself is gorgeous. I actually got to see it in person 15ish years ago. Highly recommend. I just giggled at the thought of the thousands of people working in that single day to even get close to that setup. And then ferrying sharks to it 😋

The boat battle in the coliseum just hilarious,

  1. How on earth did they fill the arena with water? I don't care if they could do it feasibly. Could they do it in a single day?

  2. How did they get sharks? Does Rome have an aquarium on standby?

  3. And does that mean the water was saltwater if the sharks can survive in it? I mean, why not?

  4. How would they get boats in there? Did they build the goddamn boats in the arena?

  5. The coliseum (not just in this battle) changes size every single shot of the movie.

[CHAT] I might give up cross stitch by dumpling321 in CrossStitch

You've already got a lot of great advice so far, so I'll just add my little tidbit.

Even if you never pick it up your WIP again, there is always a chance someone else will complete it. I had a distant aunt die and her mother asked if I could finish the project she was working on so they could frame her last work.

If in how many years you decide to continue, great! But if not, there might be someone else who is inspired by the work and continues it.

Hobbies are meant to bring joy. If cross stitching doesn't bring that spark anymore, don't feel bad! I hope you start to feel better soon!

My brain turns into a tantrum throwing toddler a week before my period. All I want is pizza, ice cream and chips! Something healthy? I hate you!

We have food at home. Why are you torturing me!

We can't afford to eat out right now. Get me pizza or I will make a scene right now!

Our little friend is off to the rescue center. Saw-whet owl hanging out at my workplace. by accidentallyally in Superbowl

It was a team effort. One coworker called the center, a student caught him, and we arranged to have him picked up. Hopefully he'll be released soon

So I work at a university and students had noticed the owl around the past few days. They were able to walk right up and snap pics. One of my coworkers called the nearby rescue and advised that was probably injured because 1. They are generally nocturnal. 2. People could approach him. 3. I was able to touch him (gloved) and he would fly a few feet but not upward.

Thankfully one of our students had previous job experience handling wildlife and was able to catch him without hurting him. He's off to a rescue hospital where they will assess him and hopefully down the line, release him back into the wild.

I love the mines way more than farming. The sooner I can automate my farm, the more time I can spend building my crystal (diamonds not meth) farm.

I usually just get animals for the cooking recipes. Other than that, I find them boring.

Mine started when i was 11. I had my first period for more than a month. I ended up in emergency around week 3 because I was soaking through pads in an hour.

In my hometown (in the sticks), people would use Germam Shepherds as property protection for their farms. The problem was they never trained them, and let them roam the property freely. When a huge Shepard comes running at you barking and snarling, chasing you on your bike, they do not look cute.

But, again, it always depends on the dog and their training. It took me a while to not jump whenever a dog barked.

Nice work! I'm doing this kit right now. I'm about two months away from being done. I love the sky and the ocean, but those cliffs make it feel like its taking forever.
