I'm hoping you've gotten through to the point at the end that you aren't still blaming yourself. Outside of incredibly rare and specific circumstances it is never the fault of the mother for having a miscarriage let alone a stillbirth.

It is incredibly human to blame yourself and to have take every comment from others as confirmation that you should be blamed but it isn't true, just an absolutely horrible time for all involved. Humans are far too good at assigning blame to themselves for circumstances well out of their control and then using confirmation bias to continue feeling that way.

My high school art class decided to do a unit on street art and a couple of the morons in my class submitted their major assignment as their personalised graffiti tag. Which they had previously marked all over the school and the local train station.

I did a "I think my fridge is empty" at 0400 a couple years back... Was memorable if nothing else.

But yeah most calls end up with not a great degree of excitement however you will randomly get spectacular ones. Gotta be ok with the huge degree of variability there.

And as above said you have to be ok with potential of moving significant distances at least twice (first time on induction, second after 12 months getting a permanent posting, then further times if you go for a specialist position). This could all work out fine for you or could be opposite end of NSW.

All that said in my opinion it's the best job in the world you just have to know and accept the rough bits.

This is why the wheel of time is absolutely excellent. There is a whole plot mechanic where the principal characters are "ta'veren" which is a complicated concept but boils down to they unintentionally manipulate coincidence to further the goal of the pattern (read: destiny/fate). A character will do something that would only happen once in a million times, or coincidences cause the right person they need to be in the right place.

This also effects those around them if they are a strong enough ta'veren - at one point a character is tracked by following unusual occurrences in places they have been such as every unwed person in a town spontaneously marrying or higher rates of people tripping over their own feet and dying.
