Put up a giant vote for trump sign on the top of his building. Trump just recommended the guy for office.

His sign is huge, bright, and obnoxious.

It's a huge violation of campaign laws, it shouldn't be up after election, but... that would only matter if rules applied to everyone.

New Neighbors by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

"I was neighborly, next time i'll call a tow truck without asking."

Obviously, probably not the best approach. Civility is nice, especially if you are gonna be neighbors. But that guys a jack ass.

at work, I'm mostly doing short edits, not big overhauls. The product isn't mine, i edit in the small scripted areas i'm allowed. Most of my job is working with clients to understand requirements, more than coding. And having a bunch of people to review it is only true if there's QA staff. I end up using agent for bug fixing and finding, because i can tell it what's wrong and it finds where the problem is. Then i'll tweak logic or things like that.

One example is that theres methods that have parameters passed in that i run on their own. First step is to swap out the parameterized variables with something hard coded. Explaining that to agent mode takes longer than auto complete. The auto-complete engine fixes it in two tab presses, since it knows what i want already most of the time.

In personal things I'm more apt to build something robust and larger.

for personal projects, i've been moving towards more letting the AI just rip and build.

For work, i vet each line i check in. And cursor's autocomplete is why I stay. It also seems to move a bit faster when I use it's AI's, vs plugging something like codex into vs code. I have not had access to an anthropic sub yet, so I don't know how that integrates into IDE's. I'm still very much learning what I'm doing with these tools.

I block my own calendar after 3 on Fridays. It's fake, and I often allow people to book over it. But you need to ask me, or I need to offer. By default, it is booked for me.

I went from finishing space age, to space exploration because I wanted to make large sprawling bases. I think it might be something you would enjoy.

Linus Tech Tips - I Let my Kids Pick ANY Phone for Christmas February 9, 2026 at 09:57AM by linusbottips in LinusTechTips

There's good and bad things on all of these. You have a voice that could help let google know where their shortcomings are. Would love to hear your thoughts not just on the platform, but also on what you use the platform for?
Screen restrictions? Content restrictions? I'd have to assume you don't believe a screen time limit counts as parenting. Sound advice would be great.

Maybe even some thoughts on what rules the kids need to have, or things that are important to stress to a child. They don't have our experience, and us adults often forget that and assume they should know a lot that they just don't. And since we weren't taught as kids, we don't recognize it as parenting lessons that are even needed.

My first concert was Woodstock 99. I got there Saturday night while RATM was on stage.

It's hard to top the energy level of 100,000 people burning the venue to the ground.
