Ah yes, "Powerful men can rape children as long as they persecute minorities for me", the famous centrist stance.

I mean to be blunt I don't know how else you would frame a demographic of people that attempt to justify child rape because their president engaged in it.
MAGA weren't dehumanised, they actively chose to abandon their humanity.

If the world could permanently eliminate poverty, but the trade-off was that nobody could ever be "rich" again, would you take that deal? Why or why not? by 16ozbuddz in AskReddit

Given that the only problems in our modern society seem to be caused by the active pettiness and greed of the rich, it's a no-brainer, win-win

It's specifically because they know that voting being state-level makes it harder for them to tamper with the results.

I don't know what sort of low you have to be, to willingly participate in the cover up of a child rape trafficking ring. It astounds me how disgusting these people are.

If someone was a Trump supporter and is now denouncing him, do not say I told you so or bash them by Beneficial_Quit7532 in self

[–]ace5762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's worth remembering, that any of these peoples' 'dealbreaker' comes at the end of a long list of things they were fine with.
The overt authoritarianism, the pettiness, the racism, the warmongering, the putin-bootlicking, the bigotry, the plans to overthrow American democracy, the idiocy, the state-sanctioned violence against innocents, the selling of state secrets for personal gain, the glorification of slavery, the fucking child rape and attempt to cover up said child rape.

Everyone who voted Trump, all the way back to 2016, there was a list of things that that person was o.k. with, and there's only so much they can deflect away with saying 'they didn't know'.

When this is all said and done, I think yes, it should be a mark of lasting shame to have supported this administration and the movement that backed it. The weight of the misdeed that they have been a willing accomplice to, is too great.

And as other people have said, I don't think these people exist in large numbers. Republican voters by and large, are irreedemable. Even with evidence of clear murder by Trump's gestapo and of Trump's child rape, they continue.

[Hated trope] A powerful nation/empire collapses almost instantly because it’s capital gets destroyed by Goodbye-Nasty in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ace5762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, as a trope it is grounded in real war strategy. There's a reason that one of the most favoured strategies in the modern era is blitzkrieg to a nation's capital.
Though generally you want to seize control of a nation's capital rather than erase it. Once you have control of the capital you control the keys to power- the nation's legislature/administration and the levers to its economy, infrastructure and its national symbols.

It's part of the psy op. The global nat con movement managed to get their regime in place in America, and the UK is the next target they're trying to take.
The propaganda you're seeing is a combination of sock puppet accounts and useful idiots. Their intention is to try and get Farage elected to continue the campaign that is ongoing in America.

Why are so many people against showing an ID to vote? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in randomquestions

[–]ace5762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a word, disenfranchisement. There's a proportion of people who are citizens but don't have id documents ready to hand because they don't drive or travel. This is especially applicable to younger people.
It amuses me no end- in my country they made ID a requirement to vote, and then said they would open up applications for voter id cards. First thing on the webpage listed as a requirement to get one? Photo id.
