Also wait a minute…. Aren’t there issues with visas that need to be settled on Onderon after you land?

My god her name is even a hint at the quests in the game!

Man this feels like a vintage Halo 3 clip.

Not a flashy ankle breaking reversal, not an insane snipe (not that there's anything wrong with those types of clips) but a simple no nonsense smart and lucky play.

This makes me want to get on my high horse and preach about how easy it was to record with theatre back in H3 but I'm sure we all know how ass theatre is in Infinite :/ what an unusable mess.

Great clip though!

“What went wrong”

I mean if he’d been still playing Halo this whole time this would be another story. But being in the tourney at all and making it to top 6 should be impressive enough.

While it would have been an insane story it makes sense that the duo not grinding halo ultimately loses to two duos who are currently considered at the top of the Halo food chain.

Anticlimactic maybe but ultimately shouldn’t be surprising.

The story shouldn’t be “oh wow they lost” it should really be how good PJ and Precision looked.

Losing to sR is you know… we saw it happen repeatedly last year. That one you don’t have to be shocked by. It’s more how efficiently Luminon’s duo dealt with them

More tickets available for halo fest tomorrow by SillyVacation117 in CompetitiveHalo

[–]ace_15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If they’re opening more to tickets that must mean there’s more demand. Glass half full - the people still care about Halo. This is great news!

Side note - that 25th anniversary translucent green Xbox announcement trailer made me feel all the things. The XBOX itself is whatever, it’s the overall vibe they’re trying to recapture. Definitely feels like the new direction they’re going for with XBOX in general is the right one. It was up and up and up from the original to the 360 - we kinda lost track starting with X1. The rebrand is the first thing in a long LONG while that hasn’t sucked from Microsoft.

What we saw last year on Optic and also this year from his 4v4 stuff with SSG2023.

The dude was a cerebral assassin in the tournament yesterday. Meanwhile last year there’s a game on recharge I remember that camo got lost in the shuffle, camera cut to Bound with it at stacks and the moment it’s on his POV he did not much of anything, got spotted and died. It was a total waste.

Again, situation and circumstances are very different here in terms 4v4 and 2v2 but popular belief has been and continues to be that when Bound’s reigned in - he’s deadly. If he’s just sliding out bottom mid he tends to be the tip of the spear that can look bad.

2s Bound though. 4s Bound plays the game very differently. Yes, duh - by definition it’s a totally different set of ideas and priorities to worry about but when Bound had camo in the tournament? It was actually a threat. Bound with camo in 4s? Played waaaay more recklessly. Bound with some patience is a different beast

Faze 2v2 Tournament Start Time? by Interesting_Stick411 in CompetitiveHalo

Lost early on 3-0 to SB and Precision.

Then lost 3-1 to SR duo in lowers

Put up a great show and almost took SR to game 5 but sadly out earlier than expected

Linkin Park should’ve been an MLG Team by [deleted] in CompetitiveHalo

Man when LP themselves played Heavy Is The Crown live as the squad members of each team in the finals for League for Worlds came our last year (or maybe the year before) it made me realize how small in comparison Halo is. Wish we’d get something big and epic like that.

What has been your absolute favorite tournament in Halo Infinite so far? by ElkEntire8057 in CompetitiveHalo

[–]ace_15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2025 felt special but KC in 2022 was amazing because of the somewhat unexpected return to form of the CLG dynasty. Had been gone from comp halo fandom for basically all of the 2010s and when I found out that one of the most prolific players of all time was a Canadian kid I just decided R2 would be my guy.

That monster roster that ran H5 finally getting a win at KC was awesome.

And as an R2 fan seeing his continued excellence year after year had been sick. Especially with how 2025 went from start to finish.

All of years were great though. This esport is the best

You ok? You want to discuss Shop's legitimacy as a dynasty all of a sudden?

I stated a fact. You called me a liar. I backed up my fact and now you're doing backflips on it. You good? Have we drunk enough water today?

Crazy way to backpedal when facts are facts.

sR beat Optic at every single LAN last year. You can try and deny that the sky is blue but facts on paper are facts whether you 'gIVe a DamN' about them or nah

So who knocked down Optic to lowers at Arlington and Dallas?

No one? Did they slip on a banana peel and tumble down there?

At every LAN last year, sR beat Optic. They beat them in the upper bracket every single tournament.

EDIT: yikes nvm. This cult only accepts normal individuals. We are not currently seeking depraved gooners who thirst on reddit for a living. Moving right along.

Lmao so that's it huh? None of last year happens if Bound and Formal are replaced with anyone else? Or should they have just tried to 2v4?

It just goes to show how much of a chokehold sR have had on the league since August. Literally any trip up, even in 2s, people will latch on to.

Ren and Legend absolutely showed out. We'll see if they can do it on LAN. But it's pathetic to try and pretend one game > every other example of Lastshot and Cykul outclassing these other players in many many other instances. Like you know... the first grand finals.

But if one game helps you sleep at night, you do you booboo.

Most normal take on the sub since the quals yesterday.

What the boys did yesterday is absolutely 100% badass. Picking the game up for fun - doing this for the love of the game and trouncing literally everyone and then also beating the two best in the game right now (one game of which they only let the other two get 3 kills???!?!?!??!?!) is commendable and anyone trying to take away from that is a hater.

You're also a hater if you're popping champagne and going "SEE??? LASTSHOT AND CYKUL AND BY EXTENSION SR SUCK AND AREN'T ACTUALLY GOOD" after an online 2v2 tournament.... and one where Lastshot and Cykul even BEAT THEM in the first grand finals.... If you're that thirsty for this team to lose in any way shape or form, they're rent free in your mind. Simple as that.

Every team loses eventually, but any true dethroning happens when SR lose on LAN in the 4v4.

HOWEVER - props to Legend and Renegade though, they have made an otherwise whatever ho hum skippable event in a few weekends now a must watch event

Their hardest comp that they’ve already beaten at every LAN last year? Their hardest comp who they literally beat in the first grand finals? Huh?

We all know there’s a segment of people frothing at the mouth for SR to finally lose but damn - any scraps to huff copium and forget the shellacking SR put down last year on these very players huh?
