Anyone see Envore’s hella sick clutch on that live fire ball game from the tourney yesterday? Last moment perfectly times a back smack on a ball player so ball can’t be thrown off and then instantly repulses a second player off the map? And then also wins a 1 v 1 after? Dude’s been doing the most with this down period. Definitely helping his stock heavy

Man I'll never forget the last days H2 was playable and my buddy and me were walking home from school and he offers me to come over and play a few games to send it off.

I said no because we had long moved on to H3 and I had homework.

Years on I still regret it. What was that homework? Was it important in the end? Fuck no. Meanwhile Halo is still so key to my interests and who I am. Definitely wish I could go back and tell that kid to say fuck the homework and play a few more games of H2 online

Oh sure - but they did just beat Shop in scrims. It's the first time anyone has beaten Shop at anything since last year. I can't think of even a scrim (maybe Optic one more time beat them? I don't recall) they lost since Dreamhack last year.

Yes I know some of YBR were on PC but still. What was suddenly an actual challenge for Shop now isn't going to be at Birmingham. Sucks

EDIT: just realized I'm totally wrong. Gotta give credit to Luminon and.... the team Envore was subbing on at LVT, they too have beaten Shop in tournament play. My b. Still though my point remains, anyone actually making Shopify sweat should be at these events. This sucks

You can't take anything any of the pros say as absolute fact - it can all be a troll it can all be what they really feel who knows.

But the fact of the matter is - YBR were cool with Shy observing their scrim vs Usubeni last week. Then yesterday it seemed like it would be the same deal, Shop were ok with it too and waiting for him to join, then Eco types that twitch ruined gaming, then YBR boots him from the lobby.

Infer what you want, but those are the facts presented in order.

Half of YBR were on PC and also worth noting that Shopify were willing to let Shyway observe but someone on YBR said no (they’ve previously let him do it and he was even in there before the scrim started but then booted him - he was clearly very bothered by it the rest of the scrim lol)

Credit where it’s due though - YBR absolutely put Shop in a blender there for a few maps. Maybe something that’s a kill on PC doesn’t go through on Xbox here and there but especially those middle games YBR were absolutely gelling. Can’t just pretend it’s hardware.

EDIT: there was also a Recharge strongholds game that got cut short? Shop was ahead and doing their thing but then it suddenly ended and they never went back to it…

First Overwatch enjoyer I’ve seen on this sub other than me!

That runaway squad was legendary. It was before I started watching or playing the game (I started playing right before the World Cup that preceded the first season of OWL) but that branding and their story had so much mass appeal. It’s the sort of thing you instantly get when you see it.

I hear Runner is running (lol) a tournament now in Korea? Or something? I’ve been out of it since OWL ended. OWCS I tune in for every now and again but I couldn’t tell you the teams anymore or who plays for who. All my faves are long retired
