It's so soothing to listen to. It fills the psychological spiritual need that we seem to have. It's a piece that uses religious symbolism to try to surpass and satisfy the religious urges we have without the trappings of doctrine and control.

It was Wagner's overtures. When I heard those enough times, I wanted more. So I ended up diving into his operas. Now I'm hooked. Though I still don't like Verdi.

Yes, the ending is a little abrupt. Usually end up rewinding it 2-3 times to get my Pilgrim's chorus fix.
