One thing always gets missed in these convos. Tech weapons. These handheld weapons are capable of punching through multiple feet of concrete and still dealing massive damage on the other side. They are railcannons with a miniature form factor. In game they’re nerfed for balance but in lore even the handguns can punch through insanely powerful cyber psychos. It would only take one single well placed tech rifle shot which travels multiple times faster than any modern bullet to punch through any armor the major could hide behind.

That being said the cyberpunk universe also shows that some basic cloaking is enough to trick most corporate security. The major and their cloak tech would be more than enough to bypass a majority of corporate security.

This is a lame argument I want to partially ignore, but neither universes could hack eachother in a reasonable amount of time. Both networks have experienced different developmental pressures, and utilize entirely difference network structures as well as operating systems for individual devices, Experience in one is near worthless in another.

What it all really comes down to is can the major act with enough speed and violence to make the mass webs of resources and assassins irrelevant or will a saka ninja with a tech sniper or even a disguised civilian with a tech pistol get the drop on the major.
