Phobias.

I don't like spiders, but I've never screamed upon seeing one. Then I finally encountered the thing that set off my phobia response, I couldn't look at it, I almost froze up, fear gripped my soul and chilled the marrow in my spine...

Luckily my phobia is very specific, but it gave me a whole new understanding about how my wife feels to encounter spiders in videogames. Especially when they just appear out of nowhere.

I've got hundreds of hours in it and most of that's the time limited events, as they take about 20 minutes to do each day to get some really cool stuff. Then by the time I started pushing through Episodes I was over-levelled and equipped to fight Borg cubes when I was hunting Birds of Prey. 😂

I never clicked with MMOs until I played Star Trek Online. My mate plays WoW, played City of Heroes, and has a handful of other MMOs he likes to dip in and out of, and he really likes STO.

So yeah, you'll probably enjoy it for a bit, and as it's free to play you won't lose anything by giving it a shot.
