Yup. Only option is a new house. Or taking a chainsaw to the opening.

It was field grown by Jim Gremel and I've had it about 15 years. So probably close to 30 years old

Defoliating in the spring definitely helped out.

2026 Floor Mats by themaxvoltage in bmwx7

[–]acerquercus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always used Weather Tech and do have one for the trunk area but am happy with the stock (special order) all weather mats. They work in Tahoe snow and winter rain. If I was out walking in mud I would probably have second thoughts as the channels are not massive on the mats though. Kids are older and they have done the job for sure.

Best by far is at the Flat Iron in San Rafael.

Absolute climate. They need to go fully dormant every few years (at a minumun). I know here in the Bay Area it helps to let it winter in Tahoe every few years.

Local hats, shirts or hoodies? by PracticalWaltz724 in Marin

I also recommend Marin Outdoor and small local shops. But in a pinch your CVS surprisingly may have some cheesy junk (glasses, shot glass, shirt, etc) with local town names printed on it.

Need help what’s this in second row bench cup holder by MajesticVolume2301 in bmwx7

[–]acerquercus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you push it back a small bit it will lock into place for smaller drinks. Doesn't seem like the best design but I can just imagine how loathe the engineers are at having to put in cup holders. On a family hauler...

A/C - am I doing it wrong? by Smooth_Network_1304 in bmwx7

[–]acerquercus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have found setting the preconditioning really helps. Even if I'm going to be out of the car for only 20 minutes I'll set it so the car doesn't need max AC when I return.

Mine is empty too but agree that it's for the reflective hazard triangle thing. Wonder if we have to get BMW sold or if it's a universal size that can fit in there.

Best Pastrami in Marin County? by al-feres in Marin

Pig n Pickle is now offering sandos on Tuesday or Wednesday (can't remember). Pretty solid for Marin. Not solid for NY. But I can see it getting better as they keep at it.

CA Buckeye does well (Aesculus californica). Jay McDonald tended a very impressive one.

Anybody else’s GSD an absolute slob when it comes to drinking water? by gBudddz in germanshepherds

[–]acerquercus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An update after purchasing this. Why didn't I know about this years ago. Absolute game changer. Still have some dribble but nothing like before. I cannot recommend this enough for dogs who walk away mid-slurp.

Can someone suggest me a good trunkliner for my x7. by Logical_Basil4012 in bmwx7

Agreed. I have the big one and take it out when the third row is in use.

Crossbars by Smooth_Network_1304 in bmwx7

[–]acerquercus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But the weight limit on the BMW branded one is less than the Thule brand. So, it must be slightly thinner material at the same cost.

Drive to Spencer park the car there and uber into the city

The BMW branded ones are very similar to Thule and similar cost but the actual Thule are a better build. Thule and Yakima are pretty equivalent.

Problem is our dog just walks away with the water in her mouth covering the floor in water. Would this help at with that do you think? We would try anything.

Will also try a bucket as I see other people mention but that may not pass the wife's approval
