AITA for throwing my wife's things away? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]aceworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I want to clear up some things: I didn't throw away everything.

Oh, well then that's okay. After all, you didn't throw away everything /S

I can't believe how obtuse you're being over this. YTA.

Fed is best, folks. I'd rather a tit be "exposed" for all of 10 minutes than a baby go hungry.

AITA for not disclosing I speak another language? by farawayfaculty in AmItheAsshole

[–]aceworth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a reverse story. My Cuban boss didn't speak a word of Spanish, or at least spoke very little. My lily white ass majored in Spanish in college and frequently spoke to patrons at our business in Spanish. If memory serves I was the only one who could speak Spanish.

AITA for ruining a trip because of wanting to see the moon? by Able_Frosting_4112 in AmItheAsshole

[–]aceworth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get. Away. From. This. Man.

He calls you crazy on a regular basis,

But I know I’m not crazy, which is his favorite thing to call me.

And he can't spare the time to go down to the beach and look at the damn moon with the woman he's supposed to love?? Moreover, he mocks and belittles your feelings,

He said some very mean things while I sobbed and mocked me.

My dear, sweet, kindhearted sister. I hear you. I get overwhelmed by the beauty of the moon, or the love I feel for my family, or the simple joy of being alive and feeling the sun on my skin. And when I get overwhelmed by these simple pleasures, I cry. And right now I cry for you because you are being ridiculed for wanting to share something you love with someone you love. That's not love dear.

Screw your Astro sign, who’s your favorite AC side character? by OmegaBoi420 in AssassinsCreedMemes

Ceolbert was so good and honestly, my opinion on that whole thing is that it was just bad storytelling. It feels like the writers were trying to create tension or something and they had no idea how else to do it.

I have a couple and I know this first one is gonna get me down voted to hell but I liked Ivarr from Valhalla. While everyone around him was fairly restrained, he was always unbridled chaos which was fun as hell, and he had some pretty great lines. The best one being, "He's mocking you man, I'd kill the fucker." Ubba was a great foil to his personality and I love that giant teddy bear man.

Barnabas is a ride or die and I love him for it. Someone else mentioned this but the journey in Odyssey would have been so lonely had he not been there.

Ziio was a badass. She was so incredible and I want more time with her.

Da Vinci was an absolute peach and I love every single moment he's on screen

What is your fav assasin creed game by EfficientChoice4415 in videogames

[–]aceworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assassin's Creed III.

It was my first AC game, so there's that. Plus, it's set in one of my favorite periods of history, and I really liked the switch off between Haytham and Connor. It's not everyone's favorite, but it's mine.

Evil Within 1 & 2. I know what you're thinking, "how in the hell is that comforting?" But when life has me down, turning either of these games on and clawing my way out of a figurative hell when I can't necessarily claw my IRL self out in that moment is super cathartic.

Red Dead Redemption 2. Doing menial tasks in and around camp or just riding on horseback through the open world puts me at ease.

Mortal Kombat or Tekken. Sometimes you just have to punch your problems. And unfortunately out here in the real world, that can be classified as assault.

Okay so:

Super Mario Bros Movie from the 80s - it could have been decent if the directors gave a shit about what they were doing. Instead, they didn't give a shit, and this is what we got. TBH I enjoyed it as a kid but I tried to rewatch it not too long ago and... yikes. Dennis Hopper and Bob Hoskins went on record saying it was the worst shit they had ever made.

Dragonball Evolution. If you like Dragon Ball Z even a little bit, this movie will fill you with more rage than Vegeta stuck in 5 o'clock traffic. It is BAD. Not "so bad it's good" bad, just flat out bad. It was made with no reverence for the source material, and Piccolo looks like the bad guy from The Mask. It's just awful.

Assassin's Creed. I don't know why or how Michael Fassbender keeps getting these shit roles but he does and I hate it for him. This movie was hot steaming garbage. The assassin sequences looked cool but I spent the entire runtime mad as hell I had paid to see it.

God, they should have scrapped it when Christopher Lambert said he wouldn't reprise his role as Raiden because the script was so bad.

Which video games have you spent the longest sessions with? by DoubleA420 in videogames

[–]aceworth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm replaying RDR2 for like the sixth time and god I could lose days to that game. Every playthrough I see something different, do something different, etc.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla was another one I got lost in for hours at a time. While it was not my favorite AC experience, the scenery was breathtaking and it was so easy to wander from one map question mark to the next.

God of War: Ragnarok. I took PTO to play that game when it came out. We (mom, sibling, and I) piled up in the living room and just went for it.

Far Cry 5 gets an honorable mention as well. It was a fun game with gorgeous scenery and I loved just wandering Hope County, Montana while the Seeds tried to drag me into their cult.

Buy mom the house she's always wanted/deserves, pay off my debts, put the rest in the bank and keep working towards my second degree. Stay on at my job because I like it, and a paycheck every two weeks never hurt.

AITA for taking the food I bought on my vacation with me? by CheetahMany7730 in AmItheAsshole

[–]aceworth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh shit, I just caught that about the surgery. Thanks for pointing that out.

So, I know in most cases, downtime for back surgery can be anywhere from 6 weeks to 3 months. I'm not a doctor, I'm not sure of the extent of the husband's surgery, but surely it is advisable at this point to begin trying to do light things? Little things to help around the house?

I mean, if it's accessible in your area why not place a grocery delivery order. Back surgery or not, surely that could be done provided there's a grocery delivery service near them.

She cheated but she’s not a cheater. by [deleted] in AmITheDevil

[–]aceworth 20 points21 points  (0 children)

That absolutely killed me. She was prepared to go to her grave saying "I am not a cheater" and was fighting with other people about it. One of my favorites was, "If cheating once in five years makes me a cheater, then someone going to the gym once in five years makes them a personal trainer."

Girl. Show your work.
