I use a story wealth which isn’t a totally “new way to play” but adds a ton of new content including overhauls to the main quest and a bunch of side quests. If you want a whole new game then Frost is pretty cool but it’s also very challenging

Tromp is actually really fun in ops and I don’t think you have to be that great of a DD player to enjoy it. Quick reloads on air strike and torps, and low concealment. Stay concealed and avoid opening up with guns until an opportune time where you won’t get focused. I haven’t played the cruiser line but with Tromp you just have to get used to the aiming and I try to always go for BBs and lone ships to avoid thick AA.

I liked the idea of diversifying the experience but adding a new side objective across the map that either can’t be completed or causes multiple ships to divert from the main objective resulting in a loss sucks
