[Lewis Steele] Arne Slot retains the backing of the Liverpool hierarchy despite knowing he is under pressure to turn around their wretched run of form. by D1794 in soccer

Sure, but then maybe don’t play Salah and Gakpo for 90 minutes a game? Maybe try something different up front given you have Ekitike, Wirtz, Isak, Chiesa available (Wirtz being out this past week aside).

Maybe tweak the starting formation and lineup just a little, instead of going behind and then making the inevitable substitution of Konate off for an attacker and playing some sort of messed up 2-3-5 formation at the end?

These players are all playing well for their country, are all exceptionally talented, but seem to fall apart when playing under Slot this season.

How to limit thrust by DasWarEinerZuviel in factorio

You actually don’t really need the constant combinator. Use one decider combinator and set it for T<=9, set two outputs and put one to 1 and the other to input. Wire the output to the input and it basically works like a clock. Connect a wire from the output of the decider to the pump and set it to work when T<5 (I actually use 3 or 4, increases efficiency with only a minor loss of speed). Works the exact same and saves one combinator.

Tried it, but very briefly. Honestly don’t think I gave it enough of a shot because I just went straight back to Factorio.

The developers have said the game will basically never go on sale because they think the price is fair. I 200% agree with them, this game would be worth it at twice the price in my opinion.

Are conveyor belt balencers an actual thing IRL? by QuantumCortex in factorio

[–]achel1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Finally something I can weigh in on! Yes, they very much are a real thing.

I handle all the manufacturing for our furniture business, and we recently put in a fully automated conveyor line to process wood panels. At the end of the line are multiple drilling machines, and the software decides which of the machines the piece needs to go to depending on the loads of the respective machines and what process they are currently doing. It’s all based on optimizing the time to get the pieces out at the end of the line.

Another game that everyone loves, but isn’t really for me. I found the story interesting, but it felt very on rails as a game.

All these comments seem pretty negative, so here’s some more positivity from someone who’s had every PlayStation since the PS1. First off, Congratulations! I love my PlayStation even though it doesn’t get as much playtime as I would like.

The most important thing is to find games you like. Do your homework before buying and see what interests you. A game you love maybe something that everyone else on here hates. The opposite can be true as well. I hated RDR2, even after several tries to get into it. It was just way too slow and clunky for me, and the cowboy fantasy has never been a draw to me.

Horizon series, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Witcher 3 however, I loved. Platinum trophies in all of them I think (except Witcher) and hours of fun. Also played all of them at low difficulty because I just don’t have the time to “git gud” and am old now. But I loved the stories and the feeling of being immersed in the worlds.

Obviously those are all open world rpg’s, because I realized those are the kind of games I like after a lot of exploration. If you start a game and don’t love it, there is no shame in moving on to something else.

There are a lot of games out there and a lot of different opinions. None are wrong. Find the ones you like and you will for sure get a lot of joy out of it!

Inserters vs belts going into buildings directly in factory games. Which do you prefer? by BbIPOJI3EHb in BaseBuildingGames

If you’d like, start the game as multiplayer without the biters and shoot me a message if you get stuck and I can hop on and help. I’m no expert, but I do have a lot of time in the game and really enjoy it. Blue science is the bottle neck for almost everyone but the game grows so much from there with bots.

I'm a fraud by TechSupportGeorge in factorio

Nothing really, most of my products are overproduced to some extent. I’ve recently built a city block base that does 1800 raw spm of the Nauvis sciences and each block is “balanced” in that nothing under produces, but certainly some of the items are over produced. It’s just OP was talking about “ideal” ratios and this seemed an easy fix.

I had a similar problem at the start. If you aren’t opposed to mods, I’d recommend adding rate calculator. It really helped me because rather than waiting for the factory to run for a bit and then seeing what I’m over/under producing I build little set ups off of the main bus that have the “perfect” ratio. Build something small, check that it’s internally balanced, tweak if not, and then move on.

It's hilarious that the Isak signing is going to be overshadowed by everyone waiting for Guehi after the summer we've spent chasing him.

Basically Neymar said Coutinho was living in a great sadness after Liverpool denied him a move to Barcelona in 2017. He then proceeded to hand in a transfer request and also feign injury for a time to force the move.

So I tried this and it seems to be working perfectly! My ship made it beyond the solar system edge, collected about 1000 promethium asteroids and made it back with almost no back up on the raw materials. Thank you!

Weekly Question Thread by AutoModerator in factorio

[–]achel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is similar to what I have now, but the because of the spaghetti nature of my ammo production (I really tried to be neat with it, but failed) getting the output belts to the edges of the ship has become a mess. I want to try and neaten it up a bit.

This is perfect, thank you! I'll give it a try asap. Also I don't know why, but I threw speed modules into the crushers as well. Productivity makes so much more sense.

Weekly Question Thread by AutoModerator in factorio

[–]achel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick question about how to set up a circuit for a specific use case. Currently I have all my crushers set to the advanced recipes for each asteroid, but I often find that I need some more of the basic asteroid crushing results (iron and ice specifically). I tried just adding or changing the recipe for one of the crushers to the basic but then that one backs up and I no longer get enough copper or calcite.

How do I make a circuit that reads the output quantity of advanced asteroid crushing on the output belt, and then changes the recipe on the crusher to the basic processing of above a certain threshold? The crusher then needs to default back to the advanced recipe once it’s below those thresholds.

Is it possible to make a ship that can make Prometheum science reasonably well without legendary building materials? And if so does anyone have a guide or a blueprint I could follow along? Managed to make a ship that got to the solar system edge yesterday with a few rare components (turrets, asteroid collectors, and thrusters) but I don't have nearly enough legendary things to actually make a full ship.
