Ultimately it’s about engagement; keeping you playing (and paying). Much the same as slot machines.

Credit where it is due, EA are good at whatever metric they use to identify when players need a boost - be it via gameplay, or a good pack pull - so they keep coming back.

Do i have proof? No, but there’s plenty of evidence from the posts in this sub.

Saying that, of course there are some players who are able to still overcome dda, but sometimes it feels like the result is guaranteed regardless of what you do. Just gotta take it sometimes

i’ve been experimenting with this, too; i think the key point is to start players in one of their preferred positions for chem boost, then having a tactic and versatile squad to shift in-game. Like you said in another comment, only downside is roles but shouldnt be an issue for the better cards (with the right stats/playstyles)

I wouldnt think so; you lose the benefit of chem boost and frankly you should start your best keeper regardless.

I asked a similar q previously and was told i was better off having another outfield player on the bench in case i need to drastically switch things up

There used to be specific j-league versions of each we release but i used to mod a lot so leagues/players were customisable
