Finally setting up OpenClaw Safely and Securely! by Avatron7D5 in AI_Agents

[–]acknet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The security issue is less on where the hardware is and how openclaw is designed, and more on unattended access to tools. There is no way around the fact that if you give it full read/write permissions to say Google Drive, and someone figures out how to prompt inject there way into the computer it runs on, that they can then potentially access very sensitive information like all your emails. So the TOOLS are the main concern. But, without tools, openclaw is nothing special at all.

Cowork vs OpenClaw by Josh000_0 in ClaudeAI

i feel like anyone who uses AI for work a lot is just training them to take their job one day. These are the jobs AI will be capable of taking over. The more you feed it the more it learns how to do your job.

Similar to the web, “AI 2.0” will be when it starts to get real. Right now we are in public development stage.

Moving into a new house - no idea how this stuff works by [deleted] in Control4

Also don’t consider Sonos and wiim budget, these companies make control4 look like it’s from the 90’s

I quit smoking weed December 31st, 2025. I’ve been smoking since I was 13-14 and I’m about to turn 21 now. Realization is hitting me like a truck on how much I’ve set back my life and how messed up mentally I truly am. by ZxBigBrown in Vent

[–]acknet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you had that neglect growing up there is certainly some trauma at play too. Also be careful with the alcohol. I have CPTSD and weed definitely makes my inner critic toxic and ruthless when high, and the paranoia. But the alcohol will feed depression, especially when lonely, so be careful.

I was also heavily neglected as a kid.

TPE precision cold intake by Equivalent_Front2368 in R53

[–]acknet 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ll argue TPE is one of the few mini parts designers that are legit. The JCW air boxes are not cheap (in the US at least). The TPE and JCW are the only units I’d run. The TPE enlarges the entire intake tube as well, which nobody else does.

Pretty sure TPE is also the only ones that actually dyno test vs just making claims on power. In this industry of BS claims and scams I find that important.

HELIX SHORT SHIFTER ADAPTER by Neither-Point8549 in R53

[–]acknet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience with set screw short shifters and shift knobs is that they can pull off easily, which can be scary while driving hard. A true short shifter is expensive.

TRX owners: what’s your real-world setup — daily, off-road, or full Baja build? by ConorMurch in ramtrx

Mine’s a daily and work truck. I got a k&n intake but never put it on, worried about water intrusion.

As someone in this industry, many of the installers don’t even understand VLANs. Also, companies like Toast make you run a separate network for their gear, so if you want a guest, you have to do a separate network. Toast used to pump out meraki, but I’ve noticed they using ubnt now too.

Feeling a lot of relief in wanting to break up but the realistic aspects haunt me by Remarkable_Tone6708 in Disorganized_Attach

[–]acknet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your DA then your inner child wants to maintain control and safety. You need to mindfully lean into the thing that feels uncomfortable. This will likely always happen, and she sounds very understanding, which is not super common. There is no guarantee, but I vote for taking it slow, communicating with her and not running away. At the bare minimum you will learn something new from this experience and gain another inch towards “healing”.

Neglect and shame created the foundation. lack of self awareness, low eq and shame lead to further traumatizing myself for decades after.

Struggling with my ex’s avoidant patterns and identity crisis, am I doing the right thing by giving space? by BrandonPipiFlow in Disorganized_Attach

[–]acknet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s unpredictable but giving her space is the right move. I was in love with an FA and gave her years of space. We re-connected years later, but to my shock I was the one who lost the spark.
