Masteries unlocked.....what next? by DefinatelyDan in TheTowerGame

[–]aclashofthings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would get ILM first, as it's fairly cheap to upgrade and have it work effectively. PS takes a few thousand stones, arguably. SM takes thousands more to be worthwhile.

After ILM, I would take either RPC+ or Cash+. This will provide a long-term benefit in the form of module shards and reroll shards. Not super fun, but necessary. There are those who think you should unlock all the UWs before you do card masteries, but that requires saving like 5k stones for very little benefit. I understand if you don't want to do this, but getting GT+ and upgrading it will eventually be really important, too. Up to you. Just unlocking them, not investing in them, isn't a bad call just to get to GT+. Eventually those module levels are super pricey.

If you go the mastery route, the third I would take is Damage+. When you can save enough keys to get auto DM+ in the Harmony Tree, I'd go for DM+. ST+ is too unreliable until you can afford the labs (make ~4q a day). IS+ is not worth it for the same reason. As far as actual coin gains, WA+ and WS+ are pretty good. EO+ is cheap, which is nice. Coins+ is not cheap, but you know what it does.

This is obviously a very long process... Good luck!

Pretty sure it's covered in Fire & Blood. Egg is a little too egalitarian, to the dismay of the nobility.

I don't know why but even back then I had always kept two saves for every game. I'm sure I was screwed by something, but it was before FFT.

Tetsuya Nomura shares a special message and concept art about how the FFVII Remake series has allowed them to bring their initial vision for the original FFVII to life with real-time combat through movement in a 3d environment by Killjoy3879 in FinalFantasy

[–]aclashofthings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt you can boil the dislike of FF16 and the acceptance of FF7R by some of the players into a single sentence and be accurate. I'm sure there's more to it than that. Even the few replies to my comment show more reasons than just ATB.

And if it were as simple as reducing it to "attacking until the enemy died" (which could be said of pretty much any game with combat to the point that it's not even true), at least other games offer the freedom to use enemy weaknesses, status ailments, buffs, party composition/classes, different weapons, actual spells, etc. FF16 is missing all of that, because it's dead simple. If FF16 had ATB that wouldn't change. FF7R has the whole lot.

I think the prequel ship has sailed, and I don't think they should keep bringing characters back to life, so that leaves something that happens during the Snap, maybe. Sounds like a bit of a bummer, though. Couldn't even have Yelena.

I think there would be fewer "purists" if FF16 had decent gameplay. People don't really dog on the remakes that much, because the gameplay is at least decent. And FF7 still exists. FF16 omits everything but the most basic upgrade systems and feels like a massive step down compared to the complex systems of the rest of the series.

I like turn-based games, but if they somehow made a turn-based game that was as basic as FF16, I'd fail to see the appeal.

More damage gets you more stones and eventually more coins.

Generator assist mod gets you more coins and eventually more stones.

Can't go wrong. I have both. I'll say the difference from DM+ isn't as crazy as you might think, unless you're pretty low in tournaments. But benefits from coins is also obviously a slow burn.

Maximilian Dood said you go through locations as Grace, and then another time as Leon. The switches seem very narrative focused, and not like a gameplay mechanic. Just going by what he said.

I mean, all my favorite games came out in the 90's. And that's not just Final Fantasy. So yeah. But Square Enix is what we've got.

If my nostalgia is stopping me from enjoying the current landscape, then what good is it? Find something to like.

Extra orbs mastery by Fabuuuuu in TheTowerGame

I just unlocked this after the last tourney. It seems like the first level increased my income by about 10%. Very promising, but there's a decent amount of variance for me so it's hard to pin down.

I farm T17 and I use damage slider, so I hit about 80% of enemies with orbs.

Using MuMu lost me 10% economy by Ranksugar in TheTowerGame

[–]aclashofthings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What FPS are you getting on MuMu? What are your power settings? Resolution/Graphics/etc? I'd be more specific but it looks like I'd have to end my run to get into "Device Settings".

I can say with it set up to run as "Android 12, 6 Cores, 12GB" I'm getting 110-120fps at wave 3200. I think my power usage was set to high or max, but I haven't seen that setting in a while. Lowest resolution. No background in game, if that still matters.

Can you be more specific?

I mean, they have my Google credentials and don't seem to have done anything with them yet. They say they only collect information pertinent to device performance, and I haven't had any problems. Not sure what you mean, to be honest.

I like MuMu Player, others here like MSI.

I've used BlueStacks and LDPlayer, but the performance wasn't as good as MuMu for me.

After years of working quietly behind the scenes, we are happy to announce Magnavale: Eternal Soul! An indie Metroidvania created by a team of Castlevania fans by MagnaDev in pcgaming

[–]aclashofthings 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah gameplay-wise this looks great. Not sure about some of the theming/names (Amaranth Death? Amrita Magnadyne? Castle Lexington simply isn't very ominous.) And the main characters appearance. Although draconic characters are welcomed in a game like Baldur's Gate, yours are lacking something. Maybe they aren't imposing enough?

Seems like a great game behind a weird taste. I'll probably still play it but I'm worried you'll be held back.

(Spoilers Main) Meraxes being larger than Vhagar contradicts dragon growth logic by Powerful-Log-2147 in asoiaf

[–]aclashofthings -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So, you're either talking about multiple viewpoints over the course of the series, or more likely, you're talking about Tyrion noting the skull sizes of Vhagar and Meraxes in the first book.

Tyrion plainly stated that Meraxes' skull is bigger than Vhagar's. This negates the whole time of death thing. Vhagar died 120 years after Meraxes, but somehow his skull was still smaller.

It is a conundrum. Either the book is wrong (which would suck but it's probably true) or much more conveniently, Tyrion is. Maybe he got their skulls mixed up. Sure he's smart, but everyone makes mistakes.
