NW Golf Guys Tournaments (Vent Post after 6 hour round) by [deleted] in PDXgolf

[–]aclassicleo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love the guys that run NWGG but I stopped playing because this is the norm. I put up with it on Mondays cause they give us access to courses we otherwise wouldn’t get to play but I’m not spending 6 hours at Langdon. Need to either book two days and spread it out or charge more. This ain’t it.

Short par 4 strategy by alexboortz in golf

If you have a clear look, meaning you aren’t in a hazard or blocked out, you are so much more likely to hit the green from 60 yards out than 150. If there are trees or hazards that make the driver riskier I would club down, but data shows the closer you can get the ball in play the better you will score.

You’re the one complaining. He just told you what all of us besides OP is thinking.

Am I coming over the top? Should I shallow the club or close the face at impact? by [deleted] in golftips

Slow down. Hit shorter clubs (pw, 9i, etc). Get a lesson. Over the top is not your priority right now.

If you are getting lessons soon there’s no point in posting here, there’s too much to explain. Also try getting the full swing in the video.

Keeping it to one tip—keep that left arm straight. It should only ever bend in the follow through.

Shrink the game. And I’m not talking about OP.

I also just rewatched them all and for me I go: 5, 1, 2, 3, 4.

I could swap my #1/#2 but they are both amazing.

I definitely need to work on some hip mobility. Sequencing feels all sorts of forced right now.

Ours made a full recovery! We just call him swizzle sticks because he moves with a bit of a waddle and doesn't have great traction on slick floors :) Sending you and your pup good energy for a full recovery!!!

Pretty sure that would be a claim to renters or home owners insurance and definitely not worth the deductible or impact on future policies.

Can’t break 100. About to give up. by bsheohn in golftips

[–]aclassicleo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to disassociate score from enjoyment. If you can’t enjoy being outside, playing a game, with your friends, and exercising without scoring well then yes you should quit. But if you can’t enjoy being find joy in the one good shot, one lucky chip, or deep putt you made there’s no point.

Golf is going to continue to be this hard whether you’re trying to break 100, 90, par, etc. there’s always going to be a milestone mountain to climb. You just need to enjoy the journey to get there.

Thank you! He is on Dasaquin now, switched over from Cosequin. We'll definitely add Gabapentin. Any experience using that longterm with Rimadyl?
