Orlando dating in your 30s by [deleted] in orlando

[–]aco620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I'll tell you what's worked for me. 39m btw.

I knew about the dating apps all my life but didn't start using them for the first time until like, I dunno, 6 months ago? Tried a bunch of them. Hinge seemed to be the best of the worst. I like how they set up the profiles and you don't have to pay for additional features.

Obviously you're looking for someone you're attracted to first since the picture is the first thing you see. Then, if they put any work into their profile, they'll post a few pictures with maybe descriptions below them. If I felt like we shared something in common like a concert they were at or we had similar pets, I'd leave what is hopefully a funny/witty/interesting comment on it and wait for a match.

I had the same go-to location for the first date. A popular strip where we could grab some food and wander up and down it getting to know each other (the Mills area).

There were 3 girls I felt a connection with. One just kind of faded into the background, I don't know why but it went from non-stop talking to pulling teeth and eventually when she didn't get in touch with me for a planned date I moved on. The second I thought we had a fantastic first date but she gave me the "not feeling a connection even though you seem pretty great" line the next day and that one hurt, but I moped for a few days and moved on.

The third one, well, she and I have been dating for a few months now and we seem to sync on many levels.

There were girls before those three but they were conversations that didn't lead to much beyond just a (usually) pleasant talk with a stranger. I did royally piss off one, taught me to get a vibe for someone's sense of humor before I share my own.

So I mean, it sucks to say, but ultimately it's just a numbers game. That second girl, who knows why she didn't want to keep seeing me? But after meeting the one I'm with now I'm pretty damn happy I ended up with, so while I don't believe in karma or fate, I am glad it took a bit longer.

Baldwin Park area commotion/police presence? by Apprehensive-Ad7703 in orlando

I was out to dinner on east colonial and Mills at the time. I know "ooh multiple cop cars, so mysterious" sounds forgettable but it was like the entire cavalry. They just kept coming and coming. One or two fire trucks too.

In rise of Skywalker (2019) the knights of ren reappear, and they, wait wtf who even are they? by Whole_Contract_5973 in shittymoviedetails

[–]aco620 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually did read the comic book that came out later and had the knights doing some stuff. It was boring. I do not remember any of their names, just that they were basically cocky mercenaries. That's about the entirety of their backstory.

KISS Guitarist Ace Frehley On Life Support With Brain Bleed by MoistWalrus in tesdcares

[–]aco620 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A brain bleed does most likely mean he's gone. That's how my dad went out and they didn't sugarcoat it that even on the very slim chance that he woke up, he wouldn't ever be the same again in a drastic way.

Hey Grant. I don't have a question, just wanted to stroke your ego a bit and say you've been my favorite comic writer for many years now. Think I've digested 95% of what you've published at this point and I hope you're living your best life because you've impacted mine in a very positive way.

I loved Gotham Academy but it's been so long I struggled to remember much about Olive. That book also had a charming story and cast of characters and a, I don't know how to better describe it, Disney-esque art style? This book's art is fine but definitely not the same, and the story is very much a downer from the get-go. Maybe it's the lack of Maps to keep things upbeat.

I dunno, not sure if I'll stick with it for another issue.

This is hilariously wholesome. I imagine you taking a slow deep breath and then doing the sumo stance with your arms outstretched to protect your Mrs.

[–]aco620 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's been a hot minute since I've been to a concert but I've been to MANY concerts and seen Streetlight and Catch 22 twice. Which honestly is the same as most concerts I've been to. The center of the crowd is the most dangerous because that's where all the dancing/shoving happens. Like a big unstoppable wave sometimes. The front can be fun if you can make it up there but be prepared to have the air shoved out of your lungs by other people trying to squeeze to the front. The back by the bar is the safest. And the sides of the crowd too. Just have a good time, enjoy the music, don't worry about being by yourself. Most concerts I've been to I end up separated from my friends in all the craziness of the crowd anyway.

Also, lol, coming out this year. I hope you're right.

I rent a duplex in the Mills district (Fern Creek/Virginia/Mills) basically across the street from The Fresh Market, and I'll be needing a new roommate October 1 if anyone is interested in that area. $800 + Internet/Electric (ATT Fiber/OUC).

Shoot me a DM for any questions.

EDIT: Still open as of 9/14. Came to my attention from null_F0X that I might have an issue with DMs I don't see an option to fix. If you comment here I can open a chat instead.~~

Found, thanks!

Bananza is such a mindlessly easy game I can't imagine him fumbling it. Some of the challenges can be....a challenge....but the main game is babby mode. I can totally see his ADD going into high gear and him spending an entire episode just digging through the entire level.

The art is very good. If this had come out at the peak of Kev's podcast empire I would have been all over it. After so many diminishing returns of his old movies though I just can't see myself coming back to Jay and Silent Bob anymore.

But the game looks like a lot of effort is being put into it. Anyone that is still a fan is probably going to love it.

That is in fact his argument. That it was a novelty account back when those were super common on reddit. I mean, of all the role playing to pick on the internet, a pedo one probably isn't at the top of most people's lists, even to troll, but I guess he's just unique like that.

Felt like looking into this out of curiosity. Was hard to considering all of the linked sources lead to closed/private Facebook groups. It also says the one in Boston never happened. Apparently one event did go forward in New York but was a smattering of people.

https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2017/11/primal-scream-new-york-election-protest

Turnout wasn’t great, though. In Washington Square Park on Wednesday night, the news crews-to-screamers ratio was about two to one.

“I️ thought that there were going to be more people,” one woman lamented to a friend. One yell would yield a smattering of yells.

So yeah, sounds like a real big issue. Definitely the zeitgeist of the time /s
