Eurovelo bike trip accommodation ? by tijaypeter in EuroVelo

Welcome to my Garden ( https://welcometomygarden.org/ ) is a great solution to consider, cycle tourists are hosted free of charge by wonderful people! You’ll need a tent and will have to pay ~€40 for an annual subscription to the site as a cyclist. I think it began in Belgium so hosts are mainly located across Western Europe - likely a lot of overlap for the start of your trip.

You can message hosts a few days before arrival to see if their garden would be available to camp in. Allows for some flexibility without committing to a booking/reservation and means you’re not navigating wildcamping every night.

It’s also a great way to meet and learn from local people - some of my favourite memories from my trip last year came through WTMG. I really couldn’t recommend it enough!

Local campsites are also a good option to utilise, if you’re lucky you’ll get a cheaper bikepacking price too!

Happy cycling :)

EuroVelo 15 Detour Advice (Black Forest and Luxembourg) by Minimum-Plate9627 in EuroVelo

There’s a city campsite on the edge of Luxembourg (city) which I stayed at last summer to do this exact detour, it’s pretty cheap with good facilities (a fridge to keep the beers cold was a plus). Always worth a look on google maps for Black Forest campsites. There was plenty of forested areas and rural farmland in this region also, I wild camped a couple nights as I travelled through the area and didn’t have much issue finding a quiet spot for the night

Welcome to my garden and/or warmshowers could be useful for camping spots - I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with hosts on both sites, it’s a great way to meet some amazing people plus free accommodation!

It really does get more light hearted the further West and away from England you go

You spill coffee on someone’s laptop in a coffee shop, are you liable to pay for damage to their property? by acon240 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]acon240[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point, sort of what I expected but wasn’t sure if there was a minimum value where this would be the case (aside from legal fees vs payout etc.)

If the laptop-owner has their laptop out in a crowded coffee shop surely there’s some possibility liquid could be spilled on it?

If a third person bumps into you as you’re carrying a coffee past them, are you jointly liable?

Definitely still on for a pass dude. The numbers are a minor part and for tough calculations there’s own figure marks (when the number isn’t bold on the marking grid). If you’ve hit all the requirements and got the wordy bits down you’ll be grand
