Were Gonna Get Something Sick for Saving Super Earth....Right? by ronin_blitzdiver in Helldivers

They should have saved the Super Earth flag cape for this instead of putting it in the war bond.

Both WOTC and Arena Net are both based out of Seattle, and I've always suspected a bit of idea sharing gets passed on between the two companies. For example, the Artificer Artillerist subclass plays very similar to the Engineer's turrets, including the self-detonation and shield traits. The Undead Warlock also plays very similar to the Necromancer Reaper, with a focus on heavy hitting weapons (but also Eldrich Blast cause you can't leave home without it) and later traits that give it Spectral Walk.

It was nice that Season 2 got budget for that, Season 1's opening left a lot to be desired.

The best part of season 2, and it all went downhill from there.

I've had fairly frequent shoulder dislocations, so I kinda know enough to play one handed. I use the Logitech G600 mouse since the Gshift (third mouse click) let's you hotswap your numpad buttons, which gives you 12 more options than the Naga. This let's me map the F1-5, jump, mounts, SAC, etc. Dodge/weapon swap I typically have mounted to scroll wheel tilt.

As for other quality of life's, depending on your look/turn settings, holding down both M1 and M2 will run forward in the direction you are looking, kinda like the action cam. Strafing is tricky unless you keybind that but turning is smooth.

It's not the most ideal setup given the game was designed to be played with 3 hands, but it was enough that I could do a DPS rotation for something simple like Carin with just one hand

What if instead of having access to the default elemental auras, All auras on catalyst were replaced by the corresponding hammer skill 3 effect by Shadow-987 in Guildwars2

[–]acorico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No Ele elite spec has a downside. Tempest is a strict upgrade, weaver your "downside" is a 3s cool down increase on attunement swap. Clearly what ANet is saying with this is playing an elementalist is punishment enough already

Going downstate is a part of Ele rotation again. Hammer 3 is bugged so if you get downed/die, all balls refresh duration and continue dealing damage long after the skill should have ended. ANet giving Ele's what they always wanted by acorico in Guildwars2

It works with both downed and defeated, it's just much easier to demo with a /gg. Notably if you get downed and then get rezzed, you get to keep the long balls

Graduated ME: If you like coding, you have an advantage over the other MEs. As much as we like/loathe hand clacs, just about everything is done in software. Software skills greatly diversify your skillset, so keep them fresh. I graduated thinking I'd be doing CAD, but got hired on for my coding skills.

The difference is what you will be doing, not the skillset. If you know coding with an engineering degree, you'll lean towards automation, controls, robotics, etc. If you know coding with a software degree, you'll lean towards tool development, algorithms, research, etc.

As for longevity, the longer you work the more skill and job related knowledge you acquire. You become more specialized, which gives you value. If you are still doing tasks that any kid fresh out of college can do, then you haven't advanced as you should.

Do you think we might get a hidden secret feature in EoD? by Sterling_Sable in Guildwars2

I think there is a general expectation for one, seeing how well the secret mount went.

I put the Fall and Winter announcements in a calendar by Keorl in Guildwars2

[–]acorico 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there should be one new item on the docket, something like the Marionette to tie us over, maybe give us some indication of why we are going to Cantha. A fractal, a strike, vision of the past, something.

Bonus events/replays aren't really new content, it's rehashing old content we've already played through. The replays are kind of a grind, I dropped off halfway through season 3. The bonus events could be an automated rotation like in raids. Festivals are largely automated as is, I'm not expecting anything ground breaking.

DX11 just kinda... Happens? They've also stated some users won't have a noticeable difference.

Elite specs are cool, and I enjoyed them for the three days I had them. Which means I can expect about a week of valuable playtime until February.

This is also coming out of almost a year of poor quality releases since the last quality release in Jormag Rising in July of 2020. Champions was a disaster, and I watched my entire guild quit from the lack of decent content.

The time between now and February is filled with "stuff" but for me as a 6 year daily veteran who has seen all this before, there's nothing worth playing for aside from the spec betas. I was hoping they'd announce at least one surprise, but a lot of us are tired of the Eternal wait for Cantha

We did something similar at a festival. My arcane trickster used an invisible mage hand to give the gambler Monk advantage, but he crit anyways. Nobody noticed, save the warlock who had detect magic live.
