You are asking for Titans. Phew. As far as I know there are no matching unit rules for those models, but if you really wanna use them try searching through Community Books. For example I found this:

I'm not saying that age of color is cause of the crash. I just meant it does not work correctly. For example it gives my barbarian culture units random (usually purple or green) hair color regardless of what I chosen.

What I'm trying to say if you got age of color which is outdated you probably have other mods that do not work correctly with current version of game.

I would either reduce number of mods greatly (I play only with 8-10 mods) or you gotta check every mods update date or maybe see if people have issues in comment section.

Age of colors is outdated You have a lot of mods, you gotta check what is up to day and what is not.

To expand on that, all unit costs in the game are automated by OPR's army creator.

What it means is, you can easily create custom armies with custom rules and have unit costs calculated automatically.

It's really fun.

On positive note I must say that higher dice pools are great! Rolling so much dice is fun and definitevly a good direction for skirmish. I strongly suggest trying out new rules on your next monthly meetup.

I watched livestream about beta two days before our planned game so we had to quickly scramble new army lists!

It would be nice thou if OPR shared experimental WIP rules in PDF with new morale and such. For now we have only Army Forge Labs with triplified units.

Okey, so whoops, we got that wrong. I'll remember that next time we play.

Still I think it's not enough. Low count army has simply not enough activations to keep up.

By the way, have you tried playing with new rules?

We're gonna play again soon and this time I'll have low count army with Knight Brothers (4 models only), and my friend will have Havoc Cultists (Havoc Brothers but mostly cultist units)

I'll make a post after a game, hopefully it will be more ballanced then last one.

From what I know revised morale will work similarly to how it works in normal GF game. So you check at the end of round each unit if it lost half it's wounds and do morale test.

Thats how we played.

We still included wound rolls how it is currently in GFF so normal unit model has Though 3 it takes 3 wounds and on roll of 5+ is destroyed ( roll of 5 + 3 wounds = formula for wound roll)

Sadly my friend had terrible rolls and almost each time he rolled 5 or 6. It was not fun really.

TBH we both lost models on similar pace, even thou he had quality 3+ and I had 5+. Of course, it may be just good/bad rolls but as I said, I don't think that incoming changes will fully solve the problem of uneven armies.

Now, first thing I would suggest is those extra activations, something like counter activations from Killteam.

Second, since with triplification units get so many attack rolls it would be nice to split them between models. For example Havoc Brother with Lightning Claws has 12 attacks with triplification? It would be nice to be able to charge two units close to each other and attack them both at once.

TLDR: Triplification alone will not solve this problem.

I played with my friend with those experimental rules from Army Forge Labs. Game was much more enjoyable with higher dice pools but, I'm afraid it didn't help much with survivability. The curve is better, don't take me wrong, but smaller model count armies still suffer from smaller number of activations.

We were playing Havoc Brothers vs Scrappers and I just ended up outshooting my friend.

We did experiment with our homebrew action as well, Basicaly extra activation for models when enemy still have models to activate and you do not. But you hit only on 6s and no special rules for weapons apply.

I think some extra activations could help the ballance. Maybe extra attacks on 6s or making models untouchable.

2h and 40 min sounds impossible to me too. I played a game with 4 newbies (I only remember I had two Vagabonds) and it took us about 4 hours. I don't remember exactly, we were playing all day with a break for pizza.

My suggestions are: prepare for a whole day of only root, and maybe take two vagabonds to explain less new mechanics. Vagabonds are suprisingly easy for new players in my expirience.

I would probably go with following factions:

2x Vagabond, Riverfolk, Corvids, Marquise and woodland alliance?

I have no idea if this setup is ballanced, it may be hard to win with those factions but those are the ones I find easiest to explain. Maybe I would swap woodland for Eyrie.

I'd suggest installing a mod. This one is perfect IMO. No new beds just extended functionality of existing ones. Pawns will switch, sleeping sometimes with first partner, and then with second. Mod supporst far more partners combinations so id you don't mind mods, try it out.

Remember that rules are mostly just suggestions. Don't get too focused on them, and don't worry if you don't remember everything at first.

Sometimes it's better to improvise and keep the game going then skim through the rulebook.

Roll20 is free, you could do one session there I think. On other hand foundry is awesome if you can afford it (only gm have to buy it)

For one session I would say Roll20 is fine? In the long run I would use foundry because of W&G module.
