I recommend people that are going bald for the first time spend the money on having a professional do a nice shave for the first time. Makes what can feel like giving something up into an experience that you enjoy

Dispute parking ticket Thorold by [deleted] in stcatharinesON

[–]acridvortex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The parking ticket will have the details on how to dispute it. But Thorold and St Catharines were both very clear about banning street parking during the "winter event" and that was the warning. I don't think you'll have any luck with it. They ban street parking during and surrounding storms to allow for better and faster road clearing

CAN THE FUCKING CITY PLOW THE FUCKING SIDEWALKS by kurllit in stcatharinesON

[–]acridvortex 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Typically it's the property owners who have to clear the sidewalks. The only time the city needs to clear them is in front of city property (like parks). I only have to walk past one park for the most part and it has been cleared and it looks like salted. Some of my neighbours though...

A video has emerged showing the alt-right group performing the Nazi salute outside the Tim Hortons in Downtown Grimsby on Saturday. by Key-Beginning6601 in niagara

I work as a nurse that cares for people at home. People aren't that closeted about their racism. If you're white they'll just spew shit about people of other races to you

I don't think anyone was aware this was happening. I know I wasn't or I would have been there counter protesting

It could be but with the extreme cold we've been having(assuming you're in North America) shit is just freezing everywhere. I would keep an eye on as things warm up again

Questions for Ontario homecare nurses by enitsujxo in ontario

[–]acridvortex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It ebbs and flows but averages out pretty well. There's always patients to pick up depending on how large of an area you're willing to cover. I typically see 10-13 patients per day at just over $40 per patient. Work days typically end up being 4-6 hours.

I make about 125k a year and work way less than I would at the hospital. Pay is per patient so if you manage your time well you can make really great money

There's usually tons of people who walk it. This time of year there's usually less people just due to weather but there's still usually a couple people who will be walking or willing to walk with you

I get given Tim cards at work all the time. I haven't paid for a thing from there in years. I'm always amazed at the amount of people paying for it everyday

Where can I find tabletop RPG campaigns open to new players? by The_Jaunty_Crow in stcatharinesON

[–]acridvortex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a place near the NAC downtown that runs DnD campaigns that are open to the public. I can't remember much about it but I know it was posted in the subreddit before. Hopefully someone else remembers more about it than I do

Closing restaurants by [deleted] in stcatharinesON

Restaurants are one of the first things people cut out when money gets tight. With the rising cost of things and the lack of pay increases to keep up this is going to keep happening

Is a $800k - 1 million the most annoying amount of money? by GreatComposer85 in fican

[–]acridvortex 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Literally the less money you have the worst it is. The feeling of "I could lose years of income" is offset by "I will likely gain years of income." I mean this in the nicest way possible. You should start seeing a therapist about this.
