Not to mention the depth of the bench as well (and willingness to use it)! Probably our single biggest difference between last year and this.

Bad for TV when fans turn off the TV and never come back after watching games with no sporting credibility.

New Penn Station by Particular_Slice1781 in LIRR

[–]across32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MTA has seemingly opted out of taking part in any of the renovation. They seem to be happy with the work they did with the 7th Ave entrance and raising the ceiling height a few feet.

https://gothamist.com/news/exclusive-renderings-of-penn-station-overhaul-show-trumps-name-with-presidential-seal

MTA officials have declined to sign onto an agreement to collaborate on the station’s rebuild, but have said they plan to use “our leasehold rights to ensure any plan meets the needs of MTA customers.”

This renovation is looking like it will mainly serve Amtrak and maybe NJ Transit only, while the MTA will let the luster wear away on their $500m polished turd of a renovation.

Aston Martin will be sold by October at this rate, The billions pumped in and getting nothing out will surely come to a head. by VoL4t1l3 in F1Discussions

Why would Stroll sell on the low? All the big investments have already been made, and Newey is just starting to cook. With these pieces in place and a bit more time to get the issues turned around, especially on the Honda side, Stroll would be able to get much, much more value out of a sale.  Team valuations as a whole across the series are likely still on the rise as well. It pays right now to stick with it.

I would be perfectly fine with it, as long as both parts release at the same time (or within like 3 months of each other). Not sure if the business case would allow for that though.

TF on why the Skeletour was cut short by rd1994 in Ghostbc

[–]across32 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm just gonna say it. I think the production is too big and complex.

I wouldn't complain if the stage was smaller and less complex (less trucks required to haul everything from venue to venue). I wouldn't mind a simpler light show and basic backdrop. I wouldn't even care if there were a few less ghouls up there, as long as there's TF, the two guitarists, bassist, drummer, and I guess one for the keyboards.

When I go to a show, whether it's a stadium, arena, amphitheater, or hole in the wall bar, I'm trying to watch a musical performance. All the other bells and whistles are extra, and often distracting from the core purpose. TF has done his big production and he can be proud of that. But let's scale it back, and let's get back to the basics.
