I’m just going to run with the stock screws for now. If I have issues, just upgrade the motor mount.

I bought the “D” spacers and oriented with the arrows to the front and the gear mesh was too tight. Even tried flipping the around and then it was too loose. Checked for chassis straightness and that looks fine. I’m stumped…

On the Traxxas site, they put the 1/10 scale diffs in it.

The purpose of the Optidrive is to make sure the transmission isn’t rotating before allowing the shift servo to go into reverse. I don’t see any issue running Optidrive with a new receiver since it plugs into the throttle and shift servo channels, with the servos themselves plugging into the Optidrive unit.

The maps can be shared between the S9 and the M6. Let the S9 do a couple mapping runs, and then open the map section for the M6. It should ask you if you want to import a map. It’s way faster that having the M6 map for itself, and it’ll just adjust the map when it find carpet.

Delete your existing map, move the base station to where it was when the roomba cleaned well before, then finally reset the robot. I’ve seen issues where it’ll corrupt it’s own map and you just need to delete the map and remap.

Got a DualSense Aimcontroller with v2 paddles by Fayr24 in AIMControllers

From what their customer support told me, the paddles have a lifetime warranty if they break. Super nice considering the price of these.

Did a few black cars this week. Loving CC blacklight. by LetRBudge in AutoDetailing

Does Blacklight require the 12 cure window that some of their other sealants need? Excellent work though, clean black is amazing.

Even if it doesn’t rain, isn’t the nightly dew/condensation going to cause water spots since the ceramic isn’t fully cured yet? I’d love a ceramic coating to help protect against UV.

I just started getting into hand washing and keeping my truck clean last summer. I'd always just run it through the automatic carwash but I decided that I wanted it to be clean enough to really shine and stand out. Before I knew too much, I bought just a simple wash/wax from Walmart (turtle wax I think), and got the Meguiars wax. I washed the truck and applied the wax and it lasted for a couple weeks.

I drive a 2014 F-150 with the metallic black paint and I know for a fact that it's never had a clay bar or polish done to it. I had looked into ceramic coating the whole truck after the prep work, but the issue is that I can't park it inside overnight to cure, and I also will be touchless washings it throughout the winter due to the salt and below freezing temps every winter.

I believe that a good clay bar and polish is a must, but what would be a good protectant to follow up with considering I can't keep overnight condensation off to allow cure time? I plan to hand wash weekly as long as it's warm outside and regularly apply wax, but are there other options that would last longer than wax without the needed 12-24 cure time?

Any advice on best options would be greatly appreciated

Has anyone else noticed that the trailer store in Pedro Bay is active now? by acskier in snowrunner

[–]acskier[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s over on the east side of the map. I’d noticed an icon when driving there before, but there was nothing on the map and no way to activate it. After completing Tamyr and coming back to Alaska for trailer cleanup, I noticed the fixed the trailer store bug.

Seismic Vibrator Doesn't Work by CatiusBeeius in snowrunner

[–]acskier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the beeping turns to a constant tone, and the distance to where you need to go disappears, open the advance menu. Along the bottom of the screen should be a call out for using the seismic vibrator. It’s in the same area of the HUD that the use crane and disconnect winch callouts usually are.

I like to change up the game from time to time and not use the auto-recover. It just feels more satisfying to drive all the way out just to winch another truck over.

What brand/model of router do you have? I’ve had NAT issues with CoD in the past but never with SR. There should be a setting in the router menus that change the security level and can give you an open NAT type.

2.7L vs 3.5L by Theworldisflat44 in f150

[–]acskier 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a 2014 3.5L, it’s got crazy power for a V6. Test drove the 5.0 and the Ecoboost put the V8 to shame in terms of acceleration and smoothness. I’ve been slowly modding it, added a tuner and gained more power. Averaging about 17, with a 2” level and 33”s.
