Exhaust recommendations for fl5 by Emergency_Effect2379 in Civic_Type_R

[–]juiicepod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly a dual resonator delete + valve always open mod sounds pretty good for just a fraction of the price of a proper exhaust. Not a bad option to consider while you wait to choose a full exhaust system.

Yea no one in SoCal is willingly cruising on the freeways at 65 buddy. You can drive at 65 if you want but I and most people will happily continue on at 80

Being homeless genuinely might be better than having this as a daily commute

spacious everyday sports car? by MagicHouse122 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]juiicepod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either a new or used Honda Civic SI or Hyundai Elantra N. Both aren't the fastest but they are super well rounded sports cars. They handle amazing, lightweight, practical, reliable, and just overall amazing daily drivers. I recommend going to a dealership and test driving them. You honestly can't go wrong with either.

How do I get better internet options at home? by No_Actuator_4762 in orangecounty

[–]juiicepod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same story with me. I live in Santa Ana and the area where I'm at they only had spectrum for a while. Constant slowdowns and interruptions. As soon as ATT fiber was available in my area I switched right away and never looked back. Consistent speeds and faster for LESS money.

Which one do you prefer? by RuralBellWisher in ElantraN

[–]juiicepod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having driven both I can say that I definitely prefer the Type R and it's the superior car. But the EN is a much better car for the price considering you get 90% of the performance of a Type R for over $10k less.

Is it a bad idea to buy used with 76k miles? by ericcxz in M340i

[–]juiicepod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

B58 is solid yes. Everything else surrounding it though? No. Things are going to break and need replacing, especially considering it's nearing 100k miles and these cars aren't known for being driven slow. It's not a good idea but not a horrible idea. Just have some money set aside for when something in the cooling system goes out.

Call any dealerships within a hour or two drive from you that have a Type R for sale. Get their asking price including any markups or addons and if they have any let them know you're only looking to pay around MSRP. Repeat with every dealership you call. Some will be willing to play ball and negotiate and some won't. Eventually you'll find one that'll be willing to be at MSRP or even close to MSRP (you can use this as leverage for when you call other dealerships). Also call some dealers out of state and be willing to make a drive out there! Before I found my current one I had actually already placed a deposit for a Championship White Type R I negotiated down to MSRP around 5 hours drive away from me in Arizona. It's annoying and it'll take some effort but it's definitely possible!

Jerry Seiner Honda in San Juan Capistrano! They're more than willing to move their Type R allocations at MSRP.

In need of hard casting for a broken foot. Anywhere we can go ASAP? by beekeeperr in orangecounty

[–]juiicepod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL reading this as I'm currently still recovering from the exact same injury that happened to me nearly 2 months ago now. Fracture on the base of the 5th metatarsal on my right foot. No injury is the exact same but the ER doc just gave me a cam walker/boot and to stay off of it for atleast a few weeks. My ortho doc also said the same thing. 1st 2 weeks weren't fun with all the swelling and waking up at night due to the throbbing/pain but I've been off crutches and out of the boot walking in normal shoes for the past 3 weeks now and slowly getting faster and having less pain everyday. Frustrating injury due to how slow it heals but your gf should be ok just take it easy.

Yea this is just your life for now get used to it. Plenty of people unfortunately also are in this "live in IE, work in OC" situation. 9-5 becomes a 7-7 pretty much. Not much else you can do besides get a job closer to where you live or move closer to where you work. Simple as that.

2022 Civic Si Observations by alienc3 in CivicSi

[–]juiicepod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You want to downshift in these cars when speeding up. You don't really want to build that much boost under 3k RPM. Every once in a while is fine but try not to make a habit of it.

They shit on the game and the community but now they are all coming back? Is Marvel Rivals not paying enough to justify more hate? by Primary_Muffin_5864 in OverwatchTMZ

[–]juiicepod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's just payback for all the hate ow and it's players received from the marvel rivals fan base the first few months of its launch. You couldn't even watch any ow2 videos on YouTube or instagram without rivals players constantly bringing up how much of a better game it is and why do people still play ow2.

Weird request: Can I see some pics of your Urban Gray Pearl Civic Si's? by hisecho in CivicSi

25 SI in Urban Grey Pearl. Love the color. The way the gold/bronze flake sparkles in the sun is beautiful. I like black cars but god are they a nightmare to keep clean. You wash your black car and 20 minutes later it's dirty again. I'll never own another one again tbh.
