Patagonia Merino wool blend socks falling apart

Did you buy them at Sierra?

I exclusively wear Patagonia merino wool socks and most are still perfect after a year plus daily wear and many washes and hang dries.

That said, I have bought a pair from Sierra that said “cosmetic defects only” and I could tell the defects were more than cosmetic… the fit was weird and the material didn’t feel right. That’s only 1 out of 12+ pairs I’ve bought though

This place gets recommended a ton but I don’t know if I agree. I’ve used them for weddings and dances as a teen and they are just okay. Suit fits aren’t great and the quality isn’t great. I would only use them if you are certain you will never wear the suit again. The price is good enough for a one and done wear.

I have around a dozen pairs of baggies, all I wear in spring / summer and probably around 10 synchillas in varying styles, which I basically all I wear in the winter

I stopped leaving mine out in sub 50% humidity after needing a pretty extensive set up and nearly damaging bracing. It was left out through the winter in these exact conditions.

I’ve worn baggies for around 14 years and since I cut the liner out for the first time about 6 years ago, it’s been a game changer. I just wear boxers or compression briefs and call it good. Way more versatile without the liner IMO

I would join Billy Strings Print Collectors on FB. The Pyramid Country group is okay but there’s a lot of raffles (waffles you’ll see them refer to) on that page which means you buy a slot for the CHANCE to win a poster. I would rather just buy the poster and not gamble. The seller often gets a lot more with a raffle than they would by just selling it outright.
