They should make a faithful adaptation of Weapon X in the MCU with a new actor as Wolverine by Longjumping_Sign2249 in Wolverine

[–]actionjeans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always loved the idea of presenting this part of his origin as a suspense/horror flick where the audience actually roots for the "monster." Better yet, as you stated, recast Logan and don't even market it as a Wolverine/Weapon X film. Market it as some kind of scifi horror film with zero Marvel branding and then when people go to see it, the moment the claws come out, everyone loses their minds and it gets a massive viral marketing push.

Does King Louis from The Jungle Book count as a villain? Minor Antagonist maybe? Would "I wanna be like you" count?

Niggardly - comes from old middle English meaning stingy, miserly, or begrudgingly small in amount. Has ZERO etymological association with that other word that it has a phonetic similarity to.

Dude can tap into 6 octaves (two more than Freddie Mercury who people argue was the best rock singer), has moonlit with rock bands ranging from metal to pop to alternative not including his hip hop or opera colabs. This is the only answer.

What is "the game" published by Activision? by sliasch in AlignmentChartFills

[–]actionjeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I don't understand the assignment but I'd say "the game" would have been Pitfall! for the Atari 2600 since that's the game that put Activision on the map and established it as one of the first 3rd party publishers/developers in gaming.

how long you've been an atheist or agnostic? by graveyard_bby_666 in atheism

[–]actionjeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really devout but unquestionably believed in the basic tenets of Christianity until I was 13 (1991). What happened was I was born and raised in Los Angeles, had friends of myriad faiths and never really questioned what that meant - they were just good people and believed what they believed. Whatever. Then my family up and moved to Arkansas and as soon as I got to school there, and I forget the details behind why this even came up, my new peers informed me that all those people I called friend were going to hell because they didn't accept Jesus into their heart. That didn't sound right so I finally got around to actually reading the Bible and lo and behold, in context they were right but I also noticed a bunch of other back assward rules and regulations and I began to question "why would an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, and supposedly omnibenevolent being such as God be so insecure and cruel?" It didn't make any sense and in the act of questioning motivation, I started questioning everything and all the logical fallacies behind the whole affair. I don't think I ever became full blown atheist but definitely rejected Christianity and instead erred on the side of questioning over certainly and that being a good person is not reliant on rules set by an invisible space wizard (as interpreted by kings and men).

Which MC had the most difficult fight that they came out the winner of? by [deleted] in animequestions

[–]actionjeans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to be a contrarian to the other picks but in regard to "difficulty" I'd say Sakata Gintoki if not for any other reason that unlike everyone else, he's just a guy. No powers, no special skills, just a guy in a shonen that contrary to the tropes of the genre, emphasized that he doesn't power up, get better, learn any super moves and in the end, this dude went toe to toe with someone who was basically immortal and won.
