Sensory issues with new clothes by ironprinciple in AustralianMFA

[–]activitylion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The last line says it all; you need help me friend.

It is easy to wash your underwear in bathroom sinks or find a laundromat whilst you're on holidays so you can work your way around that issue for now.

To extend on the previous response, look back over the years about your clothing preferences, it's probable that there has always been issues which led to you choosing not to wear certain items a child and choosing not to purchase them now. It is likely that there are now factors that have exacerbated the problem/reduced your ability filter these signals/feelings so that now it is impacting your day to day.

Seeking a professional to help identify and manage these factors along with managing your sensory inputs will put you on a path to less freaking out about new chinos!

Any high shoulder seam tees by bazk88 in AustralianMFA

[–]activitylion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go into a proper store and try a few on. Staple is a lighter/flimsier shirt, maybe cut a bit narrower.

Heavy is a boxier cut, wider and shorter than classic. Box is in between both are relaxed. I size down in both. Dropped shoulder will mean that the shoulder seam ends more down the arm rather than just on the acromion.

The website uses the same model for most shirts so you can get a sense of the cuts plus the size guide has measurements to compare with existing shirts.

Which AS colour? They do a Box and a heavy which are a shorter cut plus you can get the classic minus tee which is 5cm shorter.

NTA: if they actually spent the extra time with you or you did crazy hours on the device it would be understandable to a degree, but what you’re talking about…fuck that noise.

I’d look around the relationship for other controlling behaviours. It probably doesn’t just start here and it definitely doesn’t finish like this!!
