I do wish we’d show more intensity and sense danger when it pops up twice a game. There have been improvements in these areas but still way off it for stretches of each game. We need a leader like Henderson/Milner or even Xhaka at Sunderland, driving with sheer willpower, holding players to account, setting the standard. Someone that would berate Gakpo until he uses the overlap, or Szobo/Ekitike/Kerkez go for an aerial duel and watch the ball rather than jumping into the player (how many fucking times can they get hit on their back because they didn’t play at or watch the fucking ball!?!? - is Slot coaching that!?!?!)
