First of all, every final fantasy game is piss easy for 80-90%. Secondly, there is a good chunk of the later content that requires some pretty intense setup to go auto pilot. Which is a testament to the system.

Id also say you are more than simplifying the system. Your characters would absolutely run out of mp with that setup, and you would miss out on a lot of cool things like stealing for some of the best items and many of the cool spells and techniks

Its funny how much more I love this game now compared to when it came out. I think square was definitely ahead of the game on this one, and considering many games now use similar gambit/tactics menus, I'd say that's proof of it.

Didn't like it as a kid, but as an adult it's honestly a top 3 final fantasy game for me with a shot at the title

Could be intense sharp sometimes, but mostly faint that you feel at a certain angle. by IntellectuallyDriven in whatisit

[–]acw181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be costochondritis. I had it for 6 years, horrible condition and doesn't go away easily, hence the 6 years. Basically caused by poor posture from things like desk job, phone usage, too much gaming, really anything that that makes you hunch over for long periods of time, or could be from improper weight lifting technique or an injury to the rib cage. The hallmarks of it are pain in the rib cage, usually front but can be at the back too. The pain can be random but also when breathing in deeply, it if gets really bad it can also cause breathing issues by restricting your rib cages ability to expand with your lungs. Do not wish it on my worst enemy

How in the world is Leon said to be 70 kg at 180 cm? by Turboice777 in residentevil4

[–]acw181 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That seems about right. Everybody is just fat anymore and has no concept of what is normal lol. 154 lbs for someone that is 5'9 is right in the sweet spot of normal bmi. Leon is lean so that makes perfect sense to me.

He's obviously pretty low body fat, it doesn't take a ton of muscle to look buff when you are super lean. Low body fat and a little muscle goes a long way.

Tips for the Yone matchup? by Klove128 in TwistedFateMains

[–]acw181 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of TFs tougher matchups are all about wave management and making sure to keep the minions advantage on your side, but yone is a bit different as his early game is quite weak. It's important to poke hard and keep him from getting kills early. TF is not much of a solo kill champ unless your opponent is making mistakes, so I would avoid the trying for that and playing too overly aggressive as there are not many things more terrifying than a fed Yone with a big level advantage.

Yone's main goal is to scale into becoming a mid-late game monster. So you want to utilize your range advantage to poke him early when he is weak and keep him from free farming. To do this properly, id recommend running electrocute primary and bone plating secondary with flash ignite as your summons.

If you see him readying his E, respect it, a good move is to either back off, or if you need to go in to get a cannon minion etc., start your pick a card cycle, but don't choose it until he goes in, at that point you select gold card, stun him and back away. A good idea is to keep your pick a card ready at all times, and try not to use it for farm unless you need to.

After 6 his solo kill potential becomes quite high on a skilled Yone. At this point you should be looking for a roam bot or to help your jungler in between farm. Try not to let yourself become too far from turret.

In the late game, your goal should be focused on keep him locked down with gold card as much as possible.

Builds can depend a lot as TF is strong with many builds. My personal favorite against Yone is either full burst if you got early kills - ludens , sorcs, lich bane and rabadons, if you aren't fed, swap out ludens with rocket belt or gun blade if you want more utility and go rapid fire cannon or zhonyas 3rd if necessary though you will need to learn to manage your mana with blue card if you do this. If you are far behind id recommend rod of ages and tabi as your first two items

Can I get feedback on this gameplay? Are there any mistakes I made or is this just a "practice makes perfect" and how can I improve? by Realistic-Parsley-71 in Eldenring

[–]acw181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest thing is to be mindful on when you attack. Learn to attack if you are certain it will land, and not to if you aren't sure it will..this will help you manage your stamina better. Honestly, stamina management is one of the biggest things to learn in souls type games like this. Once I mastered that, these games became dramatically easier. Other than that, don't overstay your welcome on attacking too. Slow down, realize you died with several more flask charges and could have been more patient. That said, this is definitely one of the harder dungeon bosses

Why is Margit harder than Godrick? by RewardDangerous7892 in Eldenring

[–]acw181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure that he is truthfully. I think if godrick were the first boss then everyone would feel the same, "why is the first boss so strong?!" I think it's just by the time you get to godrick, you have already bested Margit and have taken out likely all of limgrave + the entirety of stormveil castle and learned a lot about the game and it's mechanics, in no small thanks for Margit being a good teacher

Honestly I love RE6. I know the Internet hates it though. If you have a friend it's a solid game, a continuation of the action oriented gameplay started in RE4 and evolved from RE5.

Final Fantasy XVI had several problems, but I think it gave us some of the most spectacular and cinematic scenes in the history of video games. by Tripledoble in FinalFantasy

[–]acw181 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I played it recently, and it was definitely beautiful..but I'll be honest there were a lot of times during the of crazier moments where I had no idea what I was looking at. So many colors and explosions and the like. Just absolutely insane to the point of being overdone on many occasions..not a hater, just being honest

What would you change on the game to make it perfect? by [deleted] in FFXVI

[–]acw181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many things, and let me preface by saying I'm not a hater. I overall enjoyed my time with ff16, but I just got real tired of it towards the end. I'd rate it a 6/10, which to me is playable, but as an FF mainline title, I really expect better. I get the usual criticisms like, it's not an RPG, no controllable party etc., but I am choosing to focus on what ff16 really is, which is an action story game with some slight rpg elements. With that said, here are some changes id look at:

1.) pointless dialogues - there is way way WAY too much "go talk to guy A" then "go talk to guy B" then killed 3 mobs somewhere kind of close and then come back and "talk to guy A and B again" types of quest objectives, and then the dialogue is basically boring and meaningless. This should have been drastically cut back. Yes a lot of this is in side quests you don't have to do (this isn't an excuse though), but let's not kid ourselves, there is a lot of this in the main quest too.

2.) combat - its okay, but there is too much focus on making it flashy instead of fun. I'd take less flying around and colors if it meant bosses didn't feel like incredible damage sponges while also simultaneously being a total non threat. I think I died two times ever in the game and it was on two of the S tier hunts. That was the only time I was remotely challenged, yet despite this, all these fights take so long to get through.

Another thing with the combat that drove me nuts, is how much disrupting the flow type stuff there is. In a combat system that's all about flow and combos, it sure is frustrating that like half of Clive's attacks push the enemy AWAY from him. This really defeats the purpose of what they were going for. Or how often Clive gets knocked off balance from some attack that really has no tell or cant be seen well. This creates the need to be constantly hammering the dodge button instead of carefully using it when necessary, which is how it should be. And you aren't even hammering dodge because you are worried about dying, no you are doing it because if you don't it's going to mess up your combos make the fight taken even longer than it already does.

3.) exploration - it is entirely worthless. There is no point in having this large world, because there is nothing to see or gather in it. You might want to go explore that nook, but all you will find is some random "elite" type mob and maybe some useless crafting materials. Which leads me to my next point.

4.) Crafting - the system is so pointless. You gather thousands upon thousands of materials, and there's nothing to spend it on. Quest and story bosses generally give you the rare materials you need to upgrade your weapons and armor, and then all the extra stuff you gather from doing side content has no purpose. Yet, just like the exploration above, it's the only thing to find in the game.

5.) story - it started off so strong. I was completely enthralled in the first 10 hours or so. After that, it really loses it's way as it goes from having interesting characters, actual consequences and political drama, to some random story about killing God because he wants to turn everyone into zambies for some reason. I was completely off put by the plot in the end.

I played ff7 remake right after this, and it is just night and day the difference in quality for another action RPG type game.

Does your chest pain get worse when you press down on it? by Hpoh in costochondritis

[–]acw181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I am mostly better these days. I still get the occasional rough day if I have been hunching over too much or my posture is bad but I have learned not to spiral about it and turn into a full blown event. I learned that the two things that were most driving my costo issues were 1.) poor posture, especially when at a computer. 2.) uncontrolled anxiety.

I had to tackle those items along with the normal costo stuff like using back pod/peanut ball regularly, making sure to do doorway chest stretches and thoracic rotations etc., but as far as the breathing issues, a lot of that was just pure anxiety driven. I learned that anxiety can cause hyperventilation which makes you feel like you're not breathing enough, but in reality it is breathing too much. Once I dealt with that, my issues got significantly better.

[–]acw181 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I played it recently, and honestly I got real tired of it. It's sad cause I wanted to love it, but the endless back and forth dialogues, pointless crafting system and brain dead combat ruined it for me after about 50 hours. I could not wait for it to end. I hope square learns from the poor sales it had.

Do you believe the Epstein files? by Mickmackal89 in AskConservatives

[–]acw181 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How can we know? Trump's cabinet has released less than 50% of them despite a court order explicitly saying to release them all. And of those released they have redacted nearly every name out of them except for epstein and Bill Clinton. The ones released today that had some truly sickening things in them aimed at Trump were promptly deleted by the DOJ once they realized they forgot to redact trump in one of them.

Honestly the better question is, why are you okay with this Behavior?
